Last Thursday I purchased a new to me vehicle. And let me tell you all, that I’m absolutely loving it!! It’s just a tiny little car and suits me just fine. There’s only one problem with my car and that is, because it sits so low I can’t see out the front window without using a pillow. That’s right, I’m 41 and am now driving sitting on a pillow. Oh don’t get me wrong, my pillow is quite comfortable, but it does seem quite funny that at my age I’m too small to see out the windshield. But as long as that’s the only problem with this little beast, then I really have nothing to complain about.

Last night I got a phone call from a company that does insurance marketing. Now normally I will talk to people and try to help them out. After all their only doing their job right?? Well this particular caller called right during supper hour so I told them I was busy. Well apparently that wasn’t the right answer as they continued to drone on and on about the services that they were offering. After the fourth or fifth time of telling them that I couldn’t talk, that I was busy, I hung up. Normally I would feel bad about this, but they really weren’t taking the hint. I understand that they have a job to do, but where does it end?? I really hope they never call back. Because even if I have the time for them, I won’t be doing them any favors.

Finally I am starting to see some movement on my Alexa rank. For the past few months it has been pretty high and it didn’t seem to matter what effort I put forth, I could not seem to get it to go down. Although it’s still pretty high, it has started to go down. So I am happy with this move. I have been doing a lot of networking (and have the dark circles around eyes to prove it) and it’s finally starting to pay off. I still have a long way to go to get it down to the numbers that I would like to see. But at least it’s a start.

So my husband and I finally have made a dent in our Christmas shopping. Yesterday he stopped into one of our local stores while he was on his lunch break and bought our daughter some Couture Jewelry and bought our son a Jimmie Johnson race car (for all you NASCAR fans out there, you know who he is). But that was pretty much it. I know it’s not much, but hey, at least it’s a start. Now that we’ve started I think I’ll see a little more progress in the weeks to come. So how about you guys?? Have you started yet??

After having everyone in the house last week sick, it’s now time to get back to my fall cleaning. I really didn’t do a whole lot of housework last week as I spent most of my time taking care of sick people and being sick myself, but this week I’m trying to get back on track. I have started thoroughly cleaning both of the kids rooms. That means that I’ve even shook out their rugs, washed their walls and have gotten a start on de-cluttering their closets. Hopefully I can continue with my cleaning over the next week or so. Then I will have all the major cleaning done before the holidays.

We are having better weather this fall than we did all summer. All weekend it was fairly warm and sunny out and now today it’s even warmer. I’m even starting to wonder if I didn’t bring in my outdoor cushions a little too early this year. You can actually step outside today with no coat on. And, the best part, we are going to get this type of weather for the rest of the week. If the weather keeps this up, fall is going to become one of my favorite seasons. I’m glad were having a nice fall. It sure makes up for the crappy weather we had this summer.

What is up with this crazy ass weather?? Yesterday it was snowing and raining and just a plain old miserable day. Today I am staring at the sunshine and it’s quite mild out. I guess I shouldn’t complain and just enjoy the sunshine while we have it. So today I think I’m going to spend a little bit of time outdoors and just enjoy the sunshine. Who knows what tomorrow will bring?!

Normally when my children give me gifts, I am thrilled beyond delight. Well not this time. The treasure that they so nicely have shared with me is their sickness. That’s right, I am sick. Today I am just trying to get all my work done on the computer so I can go and lay down for the rest of the day. I feel so bad that I’m not even taking the acne treatment that I so desperately need this time of year. So…. for this illness I say thank you to my kids (not). Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.
