Sad day for the Children
My husband’s job requires him to go out of town sometimes on courses. The children are used to this, or so I thought. Yesterday he need to go out of town for a couple of days, and we thought the kids understood this and were ok with it. Even when I picked them up at the bus stop, they were discussing it and didn’t seem to be too upset.
When we arrived home and they seen my husband’s bags packed they were so upset they started crying. As they are only six and eight I don’t think they understood that he wouldn’t be gone that long and he would be comming back soon. My son (six) was concerned because his father wouldn’t be home to kiss him goodnight and my daughter (eight) was upset because she didn’t want him to go on a train and get into a train wreck. Our third child who is seventeen really didn’t care either way. (teenagers!!)
We finally got them calmed down and they were fine. So, if my husband ever wonders how much his children love him, I think yesterday told the tale.
