As most of you all know, I have three children. One of my children is a boy and he is six years old, soon to be seven. But, for the last two years he has been going to school in size four pants. Well, I am happy to announce that he is now wearing a size five pant. Over the weekend when we got ready to go out, I gave him a pair of pants to put on (size four) and they were too small for him. So, just to make sure it was him growing and not his pants shrinking (lol) I gave him another pair and they were too small as well. Being small really doesn’t bother him and it certainly doesn’t slow him down. But, he was so excited that his clothes did not fit him anymore, that he was going around the stores telling anyone who would listen to him that he needed to get new pants because he grew! Now, hopefully this has started a growth sprurt for him and he may finally be on the road to catching up with other little boys his age.

As I have today off from work, we as a family are going out for a drive to check out some houses around our area that are for sale. There are certain locations that we will be looking at, as we really don’t want to move out of the school district. But, with money also being a major factor in where we will eventually locate, the area may be out of our control. But, it’s always fun to look anyway. It’s kind of like window shopping through a huge window. So, that’s whats on tap for today and I’m actually looking forward to maybe seeing some locations that we might actually be able to move to.

Moving away especially a long distance away can be a very stressful time in one’s life. Along with the worries about the financial costs, uprooting the family, you also have to worry about how to get your belongings from one location to another safely. There are many moving companies that claim to be the best and most reliable, but that isn’t always the case. And sometimes it can be difficult to weed through the bad to find the good. So, by using this service you know that the company you choose to ship your valuables to your new location, is one of the best. So, if your moving a long distance and are unsure as to which moving company would be best for you, why not stop by this site and check out their process and their list of reputable movers. You can read all about the services they offer and the process it takes for companies to be considered for their site in their latest press release.

As I posted in an earlier post my children had some problems on the bus the other day and I was not pleased about the way it was being handled. So, I took matters into my own hand. Three older boys started to pick on my young son and when my daughter stepped in to “protect” her younger brother they started picking on her as well. As there is suppose to be a zero tolerance to bullying in this school system, I wasn’t to impressed when I spoke to the children about this matter and they expressed that they told the bus driver and he didn’t listen to them. So, yesterday I spoke to the bus driver myself to try to get this worked out. I was quite happy to be told that he was indeed aware of the situation, he had been listening to the children and the boys that were doing the bullying were being looked after. So, since that day there has been no more incicidents and I am quite happy to report that the kids are enjoying the bus once again.

After long talks with my husband and a lot of decision making I finally came to the decision to give up my job this summer. I have been employed there for almost seven years and this was a very difficult decision to make. The main reason why I have chosen to do this is because I want the children to be able to finally enjoy a summer. So, with this decision made all I had to do was to come up with a time frame to be finished. I decided on my last day to be June 16 and last night I informed my boss of my decision. She was not really happy about and called me a bad name (joking of course) but she completely understands my reasons for doing this. So, there is no turning back now as the decision was made and my notice has been given.

So, the other night we were discussing this and decided that next summer for sure we are going to take a trip just the two of us. So, to get ready for the special ocassion, I have being doing a little research to see where we can go and to try to find the cheapest prices on accomodations and travel. I have came across a site at vacations.net where I think I will be able to find out this valuable information on Best All Inclusive Resort.

When I first started blogging, I always made it a point to go in and read some other people blogs and comment on them if I found their content interesting. I would at least do this a couple times a day. But, unfortunately real life got in the way. Between making a quilt for a friend, housework, raising children and working full time, honestly sometimes I find it difficult to be able to maintain my own blogs let alone others. So, I have made a pact with myself that I am going to start to do this again. I really did enjoy reading what others had to say and I really do miss that. So, if I ever get this slack again, just pop on over and give me a little tap and I promise I’ll get back on track.

I am really getting tired of the happenings that have been going on on the school bus these days. Both of my younger children travel on the same bus in the mornings and as my daughter is two years older than my son and quite a bit bigger, she has a tendency to be a mother hen and watch over him. This is a great thing and it makes me proud that I have raised my daughter to be like this. Yesterday she came home from school and informed me that three older boys (grades 4 and 5) had been picking on her little brother on the bus. He is only in grade 1 and he is very tiny for his age. So, she stepped in to try to help her brother out and they started picking on her. When they informed the bus driver of what was happening she said he didn’t respond. So, here I am again talking to the teachers, bus driver and school board to try to get this straightened out. They are suppose to have a zero tolerance policy for bullying and I am going to make sure they enforce it. But, I’m really getting tired of having to take these drastic measures.

As I get older, my thoughts start to drift to retirement and savings to have for that day.
