Lifes Like That

Well I’m not really happy to report that date night turned out to be a bust.  As my husband is the only mechanic at his place of employement when an emergency call comes in, he has to go.  We had the babysitter all lined up, and I was in the middle of getting ready when that dreaded phone call came in.  He had to go to work.  I’m really starting to hate on-call work.  So, my exciting date night acutally turned into another night home alone for me.  As the younger two where in bed, I let my oldest son (who was going to babysit for us) go out for the evening and I just sat home watching TV waiting for my husband to come home.    So, maybe we will try this some other time and make sure all the batteries in the phones are dead so he can’t get another phone call.  On a brighter note, when he did finally arrive home he had stopped somewhere for take out, so we did end up enjoying a meal together.  So, it wasn’t all bad.
