Lifes Like That

On Wednesday my son turned 18.  He was scheduled to work at his job and didn’t complain too much when they told him they needed to work that day.  But, when he went in to start his shift, he was told he was no longer needed because they were cutting back hours and since he was the last one hired, he was the first one to be let go.  It’s bad enough that he lost his job, but, did they really have to do it on his birthday?  If they knew they were going to let him go, don’t you think they could have done it the night before after his shift was over?  Can you imagine how he must have felt?  Oh well, live and learn and I’m happy to report that he has since found a new job for more money.  So, it did all work out in the end for him.
