After being on the Internet for over a year now, I have discovered what works and what doesn’t work to drive visitors to your sites.  I have had a few people ask me how I get visitors so I decided to let you all in on my secrets.  I’m sure there are more experienced bloggers and webmasters who will tell you of other different ways to accomplish this, but I’m just sharing what works for me.  The two biggest things that I do to attract visitors is first I advertise my sites in forums and invite people to come for a visit.  If they like what they read, then they usually become regular viewers so this helps to gain referals in any of the programs that I’m trying to promote.  I also submit my sites to as many directories as I can.  The more my sites get viewed by other’s the more chance of them becoming interested and stopping by.  Like I stated there are other ways of attracting traffic, but these two methods are the two best that I have found that have worked for me.

Here in Canada, we are running into another long weekend.  This Monday is the Queens birthday so some us get the day off which gives us the long weekend.  My plans for this weekend is that if it’s nice out, do a little house browsing and work on the yard.  If it’s not it will be house work and continuing on the renovations.  And hopefully one night on the weekend we will be able to take the kids to the movies or even to the drive-in theater.  I think they would enjoy this and it gives us some extra time together as a family.  Hopefully, I won’t be working, but it being my last two days of work, who know’s.  What plans do you all have for your long weekend?

It seems like the flu season is a never ending season.  Last week both of the younger children contracted this flue bug, and this week my oldest son has been home from school for the past three days with it.  I really think that all they do is pass around this bug.  Thankfully, I haven’t got it and haven’t had to miss any work because of it.  As today very well could be my last day at work (if not today, Monday for sure), I am really hoping that if I do get it, I get it after I’m done work and home anyway.  Hopefully after my oldest child gets over this sickness, the flu bug will have travelled far away from our home for another year.

Yesterday all day they were advertising on the radio that we were due to be hit with a huge snowstorm, but thankfully we didn’t see it as it never cooled down enough for the rain to turn to snow.  I couldn’t believe my ears when I heard how much snow and ice pellets we were suppose to recieve.  So, we did recieve an awful lot of rain, and it continues to rain as I post this, but at least with rain, you don’t have to shovel it.  So, hopefully these warmer tempertuers that we are experiencing will keep away any snow that may want to come and we can finally start to enjoy some nice warm Spring days.
