Lifes Like That

My daughter came home from school today with a brochure for to go to summer camp.  Mind you, she is only eight years old so the decision was already made that she isn’t going.  But, I let her explain all the benefits and activities that would take place at this camp and told her that I would discuss it with her father.  I knew she didn’t realize that this camp was for a five day period, and when I mentioned this to her in front of her younger brother, he started crying really really bad.  While he was crying he kept saying that “he would miss her”.  They fight alot, but this little outburst on his part showed me that he really does love her a lot and he didn’t want to be without her even for one week during the summer.  His outpouring of love for his sister brought tears to my eyes as it makes me so proud to know that this brother and sister love each other dearly and there is nothing they wouldn’t do for one another.
