Lifes Like That

Three years ago, a girl started at my place of employement as a waitress.  Over the past three years we kind of became friends.  I wouldn’t say that we were best friends by any means and I did have to watch what I said and did around her as I was her boss.  We worked together great and go along fine, but ours really was a working relationship.  Now that I’ve finished there, we have become a lot better friends.  I am having a slight problem with my oldest son and earlier in the week felt like I was all alone, so I took the chance and gave her a call just to talk.  She is so amazing.  She doesn’t always agree with everything I say, but that is fine as I just needed to hear someone else’s opinion.  I know she doesn’t realize how much I have become to depend on her, but I felt that I just needed to post this to let her know.  So, this is why I think having friends is so important.  And, I can promise you all that I do appreciate her and even when the situation at my house dies down, I will still appreciate her and keep in touch.
