Lifes Like That

My honest opinion about credit cards.

6th June 2007

My honest opinion about credit cards.

There are several reasons why a person would choose to apply for a credit card. One of these reasons would be to help them to establish good credit in their own name. This is why I applied for my first credit card. Because I had no credit whatsoever in my own name, I figured this would be the best method for me to choose as with a credit card you can control the payments. While applying for my credit cards I found the process to be extremely easy to go through and get accepted. This got me a little worried as it made me wonder if someone who didn’t have a whole lot of self control when it came to spending could get one of these cards quite easily and find themselves in a world of trouble. I have not experienced this as I do watch what I charge and pay it off each and every month. When I choose my particular card to apply for I had a lot of criteria in mind.

One thing I looked for was to see if I could obtain anything free from using this card. So, I was happy to see that if I went with this particular company I could get cash back on all my purchases. Another feature that looked far and wide for was to find a card that would offer me the lowest interest rates on balance transfers. So these are the reasons why I chose the credit cards that I did. But, I do like to caution people that if your not careful with these cards, you could get yourself in trouble. But, if your careful, they could be a really important step in gaining financial credit.

Playing poker

Everywhere you turn, whether it be on TV, the Internet or in your own husbands garage, you see the game of poker being played by many. With the popularity of the Internet, online poker games are all over the net. You can involved with friendly games, or you can play for real money. It all depends on your skill level. I have found a site at backgammonmasters.com where you can play poker online or some other games such as backgammon. They are offering for a limited time only no house commission. So the time to get in on the fun is right now.

Ever since they started their online games site featuring the backgammon game, they have been an extremely popular site to visit. This is due largely in part to the awesome graphics they display. This site is so much fun for players as it is the largest online gaming community on the net. New players can even play for free while they learn the game and improve their skills. This is great news for a novice player like myself. They are gaining popularlity by announcing several new games that they will be featuring, by their game that features an animated tiger named Jean Claude, and because of their large payout compensations to players. So, if your interested in the gaming community, you really need to check out their latest press release and get in to a poker match that has no house commission.

Photography

Trust me when I say this, I am a blogger, not a photographer. This was any more evident to me then today. I purchased a small digital camera almost a month ago and could not for the life of me figure it out. But, I am determined if nothing else and decided I would give it my best to try to figure this little thing out. Well, I’m happy to report that I was able to figure it out, but I’m also a little embarrassed to tell you all exactly what the problem was. But, since I’m an honest person, I will tell you. The battery that came with the camera had a small protective film on it. When I put it originally in the camera I didn’t take it off. So, you can see why my camera wouldn’t work. I am so stupid. After I took the protective film off the battery, much to my amazment it worked! Chalk this up to a learning lesson to me. lol

Getting organized

I am so slack.  I always make these great plans of getting things accomplished, but it just doesn’t seem to work out for me in the end.  I have decided that this is probably because I am not very organized.  With summer coming and the kids going to be home with me everyday all day, I have to discover a method fairly quickly that will enable me to become better organized.  So, I have bought a book and have started listing every job for every room in the house that I would like to get done.  As soon as I have finished on project I will then cross it off.  Not only does this help me to get the jobs done, but I think it will motivate me to do more as the more I see that I have done, the more jobs I will want to cross off.  Hopefully this method will he me to become better organized and I’ll be sure to let you all know if this works out for me.
