My honest opinion about credit cards.
There are several reasons why a person would choose to apply for a credit card. One of these reasons would be to help them to establish good credit in their own name. This is why I applied for my first credit card. Because I had no credit whatsoever in my own name, I figured this would be the best method for me to choose as with a credit card you can control the payments. While applying for my credit cards I found the process to be extremely easy to go through and get accepted. This got me a little worried as it made me wonder if someone who didn’t have a whole lot of self control when it came to spending could get one of these cards quite easily and find themselves in a world of trouble. I have not experienced this as I do watch what I charge and pay it off each and every month. When I choose my particular card to apply for I had a lot of criteria in mind.
One thing I looked for was to see if I could obtain anything free from using this card. So, I was happy to see that if I went with this particular company I could get cash back on all my purchases. Another feature that looked far and wide for was to find a card that would offer me the lowest interest rates on balance transfers. So these are the reasons why I chose the credit cards that I did. But, I do like to caution people that if your not careful with these cards, you could get yourself in trouble. But, if your careful, they could be a really important step in gaining financial credit.
