Lifes Like That

For all you parents out there who has a little girl, you may be able to relate to this post. My daughter’s grade 3 french class is hosting a little cafe today for some of the teachers. Some of the students will be waiters and waitresses while others will cook, be dishwashers and bus boys. My daughter asked if she could be one of the waitresses, as she knew she could do an awesome job because she had watched her mother wait on people so many times. It was so cute to watch her practice her skills this morning before she went to school. She told her father she was practicing so much because she wanted to do a good job like I used to. I thought this was extremely sweet. As she is only eight, I don’t have to worry about whether or not she will choose to become a waitress as a full time career, but it is nice to see that she liked what I used to do and wants to be just like me.
