As you all know, I have two younger children still living at home. My daughter is eight and my son is six. I have to say that they are pretty great kids. Now I’ll tell you why. Today was their last book fair at their school for the year. My husband sent them to school this morning with eight dollars each. When they both arrived home from school they showed me what they purchased and for once they didn’t purchase a bunch of junk. Then they both informed me that they each gave one of their friends a couple of dollars as their friends didn’t have any money to buy anything with. I thought this was so awesome. I don’t mind that they shared their money and it just goes to show you how caring and thoughtful they both are. They would rather go with a little less stuff, then see any other child go without.
So just in case I didn’t mention this before, I have got a couple of GREAT kids and it makes me very proud to see them growing up in this way.

As a parent of an eighteen year old, I feel very strongly about programs and offers to help troubled teens. While my son was growing up, we had a lot of problems with him over the years and we looked into several different agencies that could help us. So, this is why I am letting you all know about a site that will give you Help for Troubled Teens. They offer lots of tips and advice on issues that concern troubled teens. You can find out a lot of very important information about this site concerning boarding schools, teen drugs and suggestions for dealing with their mood swings. One of the things that I have found extremely interesting about this site is that it gives you great advice and different methods to use that you may not have thought of on your own. So, I have two up and coming teenagers in my house, and you can bet that I will take full advantage of this site and all they have to offer to hopfully steer these young children in the right direction.

Man, I really need to get a life. For the past two months my husband and I have been actively searching for a camping trailer (we found one and made the purchase this weekend, thankfully). So, it should have not come as a big surprise to me when the other night I had a dream about camping trailers and blogging. That’s right I woke up from my sleep with thoughts of myself posting a blog post on my blog about camping trailers. So, now not only are my days filled with thoughts of blogging and trailers, but my nights seemed to be interrupted with these thoughts as well. So, hopefully my dreams will become normal again as we did purchase a trailer so I won’t need to dream about the purchase.
I wonder what I’ll be obessessing and dreaming about next???

We all have collections and hobbies right? Well one of my collections that I am extremely passionate about it collecting jewelry. I have lots and lots of necklaces, bracelets, rings and watches. A girl can never have too many, so I am constantly on the lookout for new and exciting pieces. This is why I am extremely please to let you all know about a site where you can purchase your own custom jewelry. All you need to do is to submit your own design and they will custom make any jewelry piece for man or woman to your own specifications. I think this is a very neat site as when you get a piece custom made, you can be assured that you will be the only person that has this type of jewelry. So, if your a collector of jewelry like I am and would like to order something very unique for yourself, then I strongly urge you to come on in and check out everything these people have to offer.

Kids can be so funny. You never know what they are going to say or what they are thinking. This is just an example of what my daughter was thinking this weekend. We went to a seafood restaurant over the weekend. One of the dishes on the menu said “live lobster”. I really, really wanted to try this dish, but because the price tag was quite expensive on it, I didn’t want to buy it on my own. So, I asked me eight year old daughter if she would share the plate with me. As I know she loves lobster, I was quite surprised when she wouldn’t agree to it. After we had placed our different orders we started talking about the dish and I come to find out that the reason why she wouldn’t share this meal with me. The reason for this was because she honestly thought they would be bring a “live lobster” to the table and that we would have to kill it ourselves. That didn’t sound like something she wanted to do. So, after explaining to her that that was only the name of the dish and the lobster would indeed come to our table cooked, she has “pinky sweared” me that she will try it next time.
Who can figure kids out? I don’t even try now to figure out what they are thinking or what is going on in their little minds.

As one of my favorite types of music to listen to is the blues, I was quite excited to have found a site which offers me the opportunity to listen to various blues artists as well as to experience a cruise like no other offered around the world. I have found a site over at bluescruise.com where they offer information concerning their blues festival and blues cruises. For anyone who is interested in the blues industry, I have found this site to be extremely interesting.
Their event is the only full chartered blues cruise in the world. You can enjoy the blues from many different artists while sailing on a cruisliner. Their events have been selling out in the Caribbean for the past five years, so they have decided to expand this unique service to the west coast. So, if your a blues fan and would like to experience something fun, exciting and entertaining, then I highly suggest you check out this site. The cruise runs from Oct 13-20, 2007. When you sign up for this exciting event you will be treated to awesome entertainment, delicious foods and an experience like you’ve never had before. So, for a different type of getaway, why not see what this company has to offer.
