Virtual escape

One of my dreams in life is to do some traveling. My husband and I plan to do a bit of traveling once the kids are older and out on their own. There are a lot of places that we would love to visit, but I realize that because of the cost this may not be possible. So that is why I was delighted to find this site where I can take a virtual tour of any destination where I would like to go. The site that I found can be found at sidestep.com and they have all sorts of information pertaining to Cheap Travel, air fair, accomodations and my favorite, cruises.

It was a lot of fun walking through this site and checking out the different cruises that are available and the different prices that they offer. One of the best features about this site was how easy it was to navigate. All I had to do was to plug my perferences in and click submit. All the information I was looking for came to life right away. I am determined to set sail at least once in my life time, so I will definitely be checking back into this site again to see where I will be able to afford to go with the help from this site.

Neighborhood kids

This is an aweful shame.  My kids cannot keep any of their toys outside after they are done playing for the day.  When they come in from outside for the night I have to go around the yard, pick up everything and lock it all away.  This is due to so many neighborhood kids coming into our yard late at night and stealing toys.  My son would love to have a basketball net for his birthday, but my husband won’t buy him one because of the neighborhood kids.  This is one of the reasons why we are looking to put our home up for sale and move.  You can be wherever we move to that we will have our own private yard and the kids will be able to have any toy they want without the fear of someone stealing them.

My insurance is due

Well it’s that time of year again, when my insurance policy runs out and I have to either renew it or look for a different company to purchase insurance through. Last month I got into a tiny accident. It was completely my fault and I was willing to do whatever it took to make it right to the other car owner. But, when my insurance policy came in the mail and I seen how much my coverage would be going up, I decided to look around at other different companies to determine if I could get a better deal somewhere else. One of the companies that I have been checking out is over at thriftyscot.co.

While checking out this site for car insurance I discovered that they sell all other kinds of insurance as well. You can purchase life insurance , health insurance, motor vehicle insurance as well as buidlings insurance. So, if your not happy with your current insurance rates and have been looking for a site that can save you some money, then I strongly suggest you stop by thriftyscot.co and see what kind of insurance quote they will give you.

Making curtains

Now that we have finally purchased a camping trailer of our liking, I would like to fix it up and make it more homey. The first project for achieving this is to make some home made curtains. As it is an older trailer, it didn’t come with any curtains at all and I don’t really care for that as I like my privacy. So, last evening my husband and I went into town and purchased some fabric for me to make my curtains. As I have never made curtains before, this will be my first attempt. But, if I can make a pretty decent quilt then I’m sure I’ll be able to master the art of curtain making.

Well wish me luck and I’ll be sure to post as to my success or failure.

Digital Cameras

Technology is a wonderful thing isn’t it? We have come along way in the world of photgraphs since the old 135mm cameras and poloroids. Now we have every kind of digital cameras imaginable. There are so many styles and types of digital cameras available on the market today that a novice photographer like myself sometimes have a difficult decision to make.

I have always wanted a digital camera to take pictures of my kids and be able to e-mail them to friends and family members. The ease and convenience of of sending pictures this way is the main reason for my latest purchase. After a lot of soul searching I decided to purchase a Samsung digital camera. It’s a tiny little thing which is perfect for my photography needs. Since I basically use it to take pictures of the kids and I’m not a professional by any stretch of the imagination, something basic and cheap is right up my alley. I realize that there are a lot of better cameras on the market then the one that I purchased. They are more advanced and more expensive. But for my needs my little Samsung is perfect.

Traffic, traffic and more traffic

Holy crow!  Just gotta tell you all that I was just down the road to do some banking business and I have never seen traffic like I seen today.  I realize it’s the long weekend and there will be a lot of people out and about, but I figured that if I left fairly early I would be able to get ahead of the rush.  Well, after seeing the amount of traffic that I did I have come to realize that everybody else had the same thought.  I’m not a fan of driving in traffic, so this was a very nerve racking experience.  Thankfully when we get going in the car off to our camping trip tomorrow my husband will be driving so I won’t have to have this nerve racking experience two days in a row.

Just in case I forgot to mentioned it, I HATE TRAFFIC!

The camping trip is on

It’s Friday again and you all know what that means.  The weekend is here again.  But this weekend is special as it is a long weekend here in Canada.  It is the Canada day long weekend.  For the long weekend, we have decided to try our hand at going camping again.  Hopefully the weather will turn out nicer than last weekend and the kids will have a better time.  The weather is suppose to be nice all weekend so I am keeping my fingers crossed.  And if today is any indication of the weather over the weekend, then we will be in for a very nice weekend.

So, will you all please keep your fingers crossed that this will be a good weekend and we will all have a better time than we did last weekend.

Purchasing a handbag

One of my friends is a purse and handbag fanatic. She has so many in her closet that I really couldn’t count them all. I’m pretty sure that she has one to match every outfit in her wardrobe. And if she’s missing one, it is not for lack of trying. Her birthday is coming up and I have decided to purchase her a unique handbag as I know she would get a major kick out of this. So I’ve been searching different sites on the Internet to find uniques and stylish handbags.

I have discovered a site over at Ashleysboutique.com where they list a wide variety and assortment of stylish handbags. They carry designers such as Louis Vuitton, Coach, Prada, and Gucci. Their site is completely geared toward fashion and concious women. Which my friend just happens to be. So, I am headed over to this site to find that perfect handbag to add to her collection.

Playing soccer

I am surely paying for my fun times that I had yesterday.  Yesterday afternoon I spent my time outdoors playing soccer with the kids.  They had a blast.  Ever since I played soccer with them the last time, everytime we go outside now my son is always begging me to play with him again.  So, me and my old bones said yes and I am in a little pain today due to this.  I am slowly discovering that I am seriously out of shape and everytime I try to act like a kid again, my bones remind me that I’m not.  But, we all had fun and that’s the main thing right.  Hopefully if I play a few more times, my bones will stop screaming out in pain.  It has to get better right??
