Lifes Like That

I have never been very good at growing plants.  Whether they be inside or outside plants, it usually doesn’t matter.  Eventualy they all die.  So, I am happy to report that my little lilac bush and houseplant that a friend gave me before she moved is thriving and growing quite nicely right now.  I am so happy that this little bush and houseplant  are still alive even though I own them.  My husband was the one who transplanted them  so maybe this is why the they are doing so well.  Any time that I’ve transplanted anything it has died within a couple of weeks, so I guess my plants are  going to make it.

The summer is a very popular time of year for people to be buying and selling real estate. I have been considering puting my home on the market for a little while now and have been checking out companies like beaufort nc real estate who specialize in helping buy and sell their homes. A lot of people won’t go through a real estate company like this one because of the fees involved, but I have no problem paying the fees if they are able to sell my home. I just like to keep in mind that they are the professionals here and not me.

Today is an excellent day for me to complete all the housework that I need to have done.  For the past five days, it has been so unbearable hot that I haven’t been able to get a whole lot done.  But with cooler tempreatures today and no sun shinning and beating in the windows, I think I can get quite a bit accomplished.  I’m going to try to get it all done today, because the heat is suppose to return tomorrow and I know once the major heat wave hits I will not feel up to doing any of this work that needs to get done.

How about you guys do you discontinue doing housework due to the heat, or do you just continue on in the heat and suffer it out?

Today is not a very good day outside.  It is quite gloomy and it is suppose to rain.  This is good news as for the past five days it has been so unbearably hot that you just couldn’t stand it.  The only problem with the weather being the way it is right now is that the children are unable to go out to play so they are stuck in the house.  What this means is that they are bored easily and the only thing they can seem to do to amuse themselves is to fight.  The fighting this morning has been unreal and they are really trying to drive me crazy.  They are fighting over little stuff and this is what is driving me crazy the most.  At least if it was something big that they were fighting about I could probably understand it a little better.  Oh well, I’ve gotten through days like this before and I’m sure I’ll get through this one.

With the renovations almost complete the last room in the house that needs to be renovated is our kitchen. So, I have been looking at purchasing different items for the kitchen. I have been checking into faucets, dishwashers, flooring, new appliances and range hoods. Once this kitchen is complete, then our home will be ready to put on the market. Anyone who has tried to sell a home knows that the kitchen and bathroom are two of the most important rooms in the house and with all these new itmes I plan on purchasing I am hoping this will make our home sell faster.

Now that I’ve started to work from home, I have decided that I’m going to take weekends off.  Even though I’m working from home, I’m still working like a regular outside job, so I’ve decided that I need to have at least two days a week off to spend time with my family and to get work done around the house.

When I first started out a couple of months ago working from home, I was doing this seven days a week and noticed that I was starting to burn myself out.  So after discussing things with my boss (me, LOL) I decided that the two days on the weekend would be perfect for my two days off during the week.

In a couple of weeks my husband will be going on vacation for a week. We have decided to take the children to a different province for a week. So, I’ve been checking into different prices on different hotels around that province. While I was searching on the Internet looking for different prices I came across a site over at easytobook.com that lists different hotels with all their different prices. I have dicovered that their list contains information on hotels all around the world.

I am so proud of myself.  Last night I went out shopping for school supplies and school clothes.  The reason why I’m so proud of myself is because usually I put this chore off until the last minute and then end up paying outrageous prices.  So, I thought this year I would try something different and get a head start on my shopping.  I’m happy to announce that I got it all done.  I was extremely pleased with the prices so I just kept buying and buying.  Any other year that I’ve gone out and done this, I usually end up paying unreal prices and don’t always get the products that I want because I leave it so late.

Since this worked out well for me this year, I’m thinking that I will probably try to do this again in the following years so I can save myself a bit of cash as well as a bit of frustration.

As you all know, my husband and I have been considering purchasing a house. One of the areas that we have been looking into purchasing around is out in the country. If this is the route that we decide to go then we are going to need to purchase a mailbox.
