Lifes Like That

A very good friend of mine is having a baby really soon. Her mother is hosting a baby shower for her and now I have to think of something really nice to get her. I have found that with most baby showers people tend to purchase the pretty much the same items, so I am looking to purchase something unique for her. This is why I decided to purchase a basket and fill it full of things that she will need for the baby, but items that most people would not think to buy. I will fill it full of things such as baby lotion, powders, shampoo, soaps and face cloths and towels.

Having three kids of my own, I know how much of these items you use for babies and having had three baby showers have realized that most people don’t purchase these kinds of items for showers. Usually people like to purchase clothes or cute little toys. But I kow how much these other items cost and how much you use them, so I like to purchase items that are practical. I’m sure she will recieve a lot of clothes and toys so I plan on doing my shopping over at www.johnsonsbaby.com. I’m sure she will appreciate my efforts.

The long weekend is almost over and once again the family survived our camping trip.  This time we were able to go for two nights and once again the kids had a blast.  It did rain a bit over the weekend, but not enough to ruin any plans.  The first night we went to the drive-in theater and watched two movies for $8.00 for the entire family.  The price of the movies were included in the the campsite rental.

The next day which was Sunday, the kids were able to go swimming, play at the park, roast marshmellows and seen some fireworks.  So, after two weekends of camping we have decided that we really do enjoy it and I’m sure we will be going a lot more during the summer.
