This past couple of weeks a lot of parents are running to the stores to buy their kids their back to school clothes. After a trip to the dentist today, I am thanking my lucky stars that we have dental insurance.  My youngest son has been complaining about having a tooth ache so I took him to the dentist today.  What the dentist found was not good news and now my little fellow will require dental surgery.  Thankfully we have dental coverage to cover this costs.  When our dentist office broke down the costs of what it would cost it came to well over $1000.  I just about had a heart attack when I seen that estimate.  But, with insurance paying for most of it, all we have to come up with is a little over $200.  That’s a whole lot better in my eyes.

This experience today showed me that if we didn’t have dental coverage, our children wouldn’t get the dental care that they require as we wouldn’t be able to afford it.  It also makes me wonder how some people who don’t have insurance are able to swing it.

I have learned a lot about purchasing houses and the steps required to be able to do this in the past few months. My husband and I have been looking at purchasing a new home and obtaining our first mortgage and let me tell you that at times it has become quite confusing. We have learned that it is extremely difficult to sell our existing home and without the sale of the home for our down payment money on our new home this process may take longer than we thought. With the mortgage costs running higher every year, we have also found out that if we aren’t able to sell our current home quickly we may get caught in a higher mortgage rate than we are wanting to pay.

So one option that we have been looking into is to do a sell house rent back. What this procedure consists of is sell and rent back your home to property companies. What this does is allow the homeowner to release the equity in the home which help reduce the outgoing payments and enables them to stay in their homes. This is a great option for homeowners who are stuck in a bad financial situation.

As an avid reader, I have come to discover that you can never have too many books. My husband would strongly disagree with this statement, but I guess that’s because he isn’t as hooked on reading as I am. Usually I purchase my books at discount stores because I buy so many of them. But lately I have been searching at different sites online to see if I can get them any cheaper. Purchasing books online seems to be the way to go for anyone who reads as much as I do.
