Our annual exhibition is in town this week. Normally we don’t take the kids to this as in past years we have found it to be a little frustrating and a money grab. But my husband and I have decided that we will take the kids to it this year as they have had so much sadness this past year that we think they deserve a little fun. I think it will be quite enjoyable for them as they will get to go on some amusement rides and play some games. Yes, I still do think that attractions like this are a big money pit, but…the kids have been so good and they really do deserve a little bit of fun. I’m a little nervous about letting my son go on some of the rides as he can be a bit of a nut, but with his father and I watching him, I think he may make out OK.

I just love my digital camera, but I think it’s time for a new digital camera. I have had mine for about three years now, so it is seriously out of date. With technology advancing so quickly these days, there are new features and designs on digital cameras coming out every day.
The one I currently own is really good enough for what I use it for, but I would love to get a more advanced one to try to get into the photography hobby a little more. One of my friends has a very advanced one with a tripod and all the accessories and this is the kind that I wouldn’t mind having. I realize they are a little more complicated then what I’m used to, but I would be willing to learn how to operate one of these kinds of digital cameras if it means that the pictures that I do take turn out a little clearer and nicer. So, I’ve been looking at some different digital cameras and very soon I will make up my mind and make my purchase.

Ever since I started blogging and have gotten to meet different bloggers, I have discovered a lot of great blogs out there and have meet some really awesome bloggers. One blog owner that I have met and have come to admire is Charlotte over at Word Strumpet. She is a freelance writer and I am just amazed at how professional her writing style is. So it was a very nice surprise this morning when I recieved a message from her that she has given ME a Thoughtful Blogger award. I work really hard on all my blogs and try to help other bloggers out any way I can, so I was really nice to see that someone out there in the blogging world appreciated all my efforts. Go check out my award at Charlotte’s blog and read all the nice things she has written about me. LOL

Last night my daughter wasn’t feeling very well so she asked me if she could sleep in my bed. I don’t usually make a practice out of this, but I figured since she was sick, why not. Well, I’ll never do that again. For a little person, she can sure take up an entire queen size bed. Not only that, but she kicks, pushes, and moves around a lot. The only two things that I can tell you that she doesn’t do is snore and steal my covers. She still isn’t feeling very good today and if she asks me if she can sleep with me tonight, I don’t know what I will say. I love her to death, but…I need my sleep too. She’s almost as bad as her father, but not quite.

My daughter has a small case of eczema and I have been desperately looking for a product that can help her get some relief from this skin condition. Thankfully I have come across a site that sells a product called dead sea salt. This is an awesome product to help with eczema, psoriasis and other skin ailments. Most of the products that I have purchased for her has not helped much, so I’m going to give this product a try. With their low prices and easy shipping practices, I figured that it would be worth it to try something different to see if a different product can give her the relief she needs.

One of my best friends is headed to Las Vegas in the fall and I am so jealous. This is one spot I would love to go just once in my lifetime. I have seen so many pictures concerning Las Vegas and I would just love if I could experience this once in a lifetime trip. If I ever was able to travel to destination, there would be no question as to where I would stay during my visit. With so many hotels and motels to choose from, I would definitely stay at Orleans hotel Las Vegas. With this hotel being right in the middle of all the excitement, I would have access to all the activities that have made Las Vegas famous.

My youngest son is so funny. He will try anything. The night before last my daughter lost a tooth and put it under her pillow for the tooth fairy. But, somehow she lost it in her bed and the tooth fairy couldn’t find it. Yesterday she found it in her bed so she wrapped it up again and gave it to my youngest son to put under his pillow to try to trick the tooth fairy into thinking he lost a tooth yesterday. I tried to explain to him that the tooth fairy knows if he really lost a tooth, but he wanted to try anyway. So, it was no great surprise this morning when he woke up and the tooth was gone, but no money for him. Oh well, you can’t blame a boy for trying right??

Today will be a very busy and long day for me. As both my mother-in-law and my uncle are in two different hospitals, I am going to have to do a lot of travelling today. They are both really sick and not doing very well today so I really need to go see them both. Unfortunately for me they are in two different hospitals, two hours away from one another. So, after I go see one of them, I will then have to drive two hours the other way to see the other one. It is a bit of an inconvenience for me, but this is very important to me that I visit both. It will be a difficult day, but it’s something that needs to be done.

Today was my husband’s first day back on the job since last week. He was on vacation all last week. When he arrived at work this morning his boss called him into the office. He asked him if he had any vacation days left and when my husband said no, he told him he could take Thursday and Friday off of this week with pay to go spend some time with his mother. One of the guys he worked with told his boss about how sick his mother was and how she is now in palliative care. He also told my husband if he could spare him for the entire week he would let him off. I thought this was so very generous of his boss and it gave me goosebumps when he told me this story.

This story is so funny, that I just had to tell you all what happened last night. My daughter, who is 9, came running out of her room last night around 9pm to tell me that she lost a tooth. So, I told her to put the tooth under her pillow for the tooth fairy. After she went back in her room, my son, who is 7, comes running out of his room to ask me what day it was. I told him that it was Sunday. So he then asked what day it was tomorrow. I told him it would be Monday. He then runs back down the hallway yelling to his sister that since tomorrow is Monday the tooth fairy is not on vacation, so she will come and put money under her pillow. (this was because the tooth fairy forgot about him on the weekend so we told him the tooth fairy doesn’t work on weekends) And sure enough there was evidence under her pillow this morning that the tooth fairy was hard at work last night.
