Camping trip

First thing in the morning we will be headed out for our last camping trip of the season.  My husband has a couple of extra days off this week, so if we leave first thing tomorrow morning, we will get about three good days in of camping.  The kids really enjoyed their summer of camping and were quite disappointed to think that we wouldn’t be headed out again this season.  So, we decided to surprise them by taking one last trip.  They still don’t know we are going and we won’t tell them until the morning just in case something happens that makes us unable to go.

Getting ready for the Christmas season

I know!! In four short months Christmas will be done and over with for another year. So this is why I have started now to get ready for the upcoming season. I figure it’s never too early to do a little shopping especially if I have enough online shopping coupons to help me out. With three kids and one husband to buy for Christmas shopping can get a little expensive. This is why I routinely check out a site over at couponchief. This site has the largest amount of online coupons that I have ever seen on the Internet. They literally supply thousands of coupons for almost any store or product that you could possibly ever want or need.

While checking out this site, I discovered that I can get valuable coupons for my favorite places to shop. They have coupons listed from stores such as Target, Staples, and Overstock.com. So, if you would like to get ahead of the game on all your Christmas shopping and would like to save a lot of money in the process, why not check out couponchief and see what kind of deals you can take advantage of today.

Going in to see grammie

I just placed a call to the hospital to see how my husband’s mother is doing today and they said she is actually doing pretty good.  It’s on days like today that I like to take the kids in to see her.  If she’s having a good day then I like for the kids to see her like this.  Also because my son is so active, I really don’t like taking him around her if she is having a bad day.  He is only 7 and doesn’t realize that by him jumping around could be tiring her out.  He tries his best, but he’s only a kid.  The kids are quite excited to be going to see her and both of them are right now making her more get well cards.  Her bulletin board at the hospital is full with their homemade cards, and tonight we will had two more to the pile.

Accessories for our home

With renovations winding down, we have started purchasing a few accessories for the house. The walls are looking pretty bare right now, so I have been looking at purchasing some different and unique clocks for our home. I have found an exceptional site over at Howard Miller clocks where I can find any and all clocks that I could possibly ever want. Originally when I first started browsing the site, I was looking for some wall clocks, but I discovered really nice mantel clocks that would go very nicely in my newly decorated living room. The quality of the craftsmanship is so beautiful, that I am definitely going to purchase one of these.

One of the other neat features I discovered while checking into this site is that Howard Miller Clocks also maintain and run their own blog. They post a wide variety of information on this blog and keep it extremely up to date. Not only do you learn everything there is to know about clocks, but they have also posted information about a great contest and giveaway as well. So, whether your looking for a clock for your walls, mantle piece or would like to purchase a grandfather clock, this is definitely a site your going to want to check out.

Shopping spree

Today is not Monday which is usually my  running around day, but I need to go out again.  So I’ve decided to stop off at the dollar store to stock up on all my crafting supplies that I need.  I’ll need to purchase some more scrapbooking supplies (I’m currently doing three scrapbooks at once), some more thread and while I’m there I’ll pick up a few more books (since they are only $2.00 a book).  This will be my monthly trip that I usually make to the dollar store for all my crafting supplies.  Much to my husband’s delight, I have used a lot of my craft material this summer, so he won’t mind if I go in to the store to replenish my stock.

Travelling to Iceland

When most people consider going on vacation, a lot of the times they think about faraway places that are warm, sunny and exotic. But, I have been thinking that if I was ever to be able to take a vacation very far away from home, I may like to visit Iceland. They have some great Iceland Hotels available that have all the creature comforts of home. This type of vacation, seems like it may be a very cold adventure, but with some things that I’ve been reading about lately, I have got to thinking that this may actually be a very nice vacation spot.

It would amaze most people of all the activities and attractions that Iceland has to offer. And with Reykjavik hotels and South Iceland Hotels to choose to book for your accommodations, you will be guaranteed that any hotel you choose will make you feel quite comfortable and right at home. With so may activities to choose from, having accommodations close to all the sites becomes extremely important. While your vacationing you will want to experience all that Iceland has to offer. By having your accommodations close at hand, you will be spend less time traveling to different locations and have more time available for the fun stuff.

Exhibition

Our annual exhibition is in town this week.  Normally we don’t take the kids to this as in past years we have found it to be a little frustrating and a money grab.  But my husband and I have decided that we will take the kids to it this year as they have had so much sadness this past year that we think they deserve a little fun.  I think it will be quite enjoyable for them as they will get to go on some amusement rides and play some games.  Yes, I still do think that attractions like this are a big money pit, but…the kids have been so good and they really do deserve a little bit of fun.  I’m a little nervous about letting my son go on some of the rides as he can be a bit of a nut, but with his father and I watching him, I think he may make out OK.

Purchasing a new digital camera

I just love my digital camera, but I think it’s time for a new digital camera. I have had mine for about three years now, so it is seriously out of date. With technology advancing so quickly these days, there are new features and designs on digital cameras coming out every day.

The one I currently own is really good enough for what I use it for, but I would love to get a more advanced one to try to get into the photography hobby a little more. One of my friends has a very advanced one with a tripod and all the accessories and this is the kind that I wouldn’t mind having. I realize they are a little more complicated then what I’m used to, but I would be willing to learn how to operate one of these kinds of digital cameras if it means that the pictures that I do take turn out a little clearer and nicer. So, I’ve been looking at some different digital cameras and very soon I will make up my mind and make my purchase.

Looking at the bright side

Although my oldest son is now 18 and living on his own, I really wish when he was growing up that I had discovered this site over at Teen Rehab ECHO MALIBU. He had a few problems with alcohol and had some serious behavioral difficulties. Had I known that a place like this existed, I could have saved myself lots of frustration and could have gotten him the proper help that he needed.

This rehab center specializes in help adolescents with drug addictions, alcohol dependencies, mental health issues and behavior problems. Their highly trained and qualified staff are more than willing to work with the individual as well as family members to ensure that their treatment is a success. So if you have an adolescent that is in need of some major help either for a dependency of some sort or they are going through some behavior problems and you would like to talk to someone about your concerns, then I highly suggest that you drop by this site and discover that there is help when you need it.
