Lifes Like That

My youngest son who is 7 has this annoying little habit.  When he is playing, especially with his stuffed animals, he gives them each their own unique “squeaky” voice.  I’ve lost count how many times his father and I have asked him to “loose the squeaky voice”.  It is extremely annoying.  So today my husband told him that he would give him a quarter if he could refrain from using these voices for an hour.  And guess what??  He didn’t even make it five minutes.  He’s been using his voices for so long now that I honestly think that he doesn’t even know that he does it and I honestly don’t’ think he is able to stop.  Oh well, he’s only 7.  If the voices continue into his teens, then I think we may have a problem.

Well we are all amazed but extremely happy.  Today is grammie’s birthday and she is still here to celebrate with us.  Although she is still in the hospital and she is now a bed patient she is still quite alert.  So, the family has big plans on celebrating this day with her.  All three of her kids and  most of her grand kids will be with her this day.  It is a bittersweet day for all of us.  But, I’m just thankful that she is still with us to enjoy her day.
