I really, really needed to get better organized in my day to day life.  Lately I have felt like all I do is housework and sit on my computer.  I have this really bad habit of trying to get involved in a lot of projects and then I end up running out of time or getting myself so overwhelmed that I don’t end up finishing most things that I start.  If I had better organization skills, I would be able to get more things done and would be able to have a little more me time.  So, this week I am making myself a promise that I am not going to start anything new until I get everything done that needs to get done and then and only then will I take on a new project.

Wow, for the past two weeks, the kids didn’t have very much homework.  I guess they were just getting them into the routine of things.  Today they both came home with a ton of homework.  My daughter is in grade 4 so she can do most of her homework herself, but my son who is in grade 2 needs a help.  So with him bring home a lot of homework, this means a lot of homework for me as well.  After being involved with the school system for the past 13 years, I still don’t understand why they need to send so much homework home.  What on earth do they do during the school day.  The kids love school, but if this much homework continues, I can see that they won’t be so thrilled to go.  This is what happened towards the end of the school year last year and I’m just hoping that it doesn’t continue into this year.
