First field trip

First field trip

The school year is officially underway.  Tomorrow my daughter’s grade 4 class will go on their first official field trip.  They are going to a nature park to study the habitats of animals.  She is so excited and has been getting her stuff ready for about a week now.  She keeps reminding us what she needs and what we have to get ready for her.  I’m not sure if she is so excited because of the field trip itself, or because she will be out of classes for the day.  I will not be attending this particular trip as when I needed to sign up I wasn’t real sure what was taking place with my husband’s mother.  But, you can be sure that I’ll be the first parent there on her next trip.

You need to get help

I can tell you that growing up with a parent who was an alcoholic was not a fun thing to do. For years, I prayed that she would get some type of addiction treatment for her problem. But that wasn’t the case and life at my house sometimes wasn’t really happy. This is why when I discover that anyone I know has an addiction problem of any kind, I strongly urge them to get help. Having an addiction is bad enough but when there are children involved it can be down right traumatizing. I feel comfortable giving this type of advice to people as I have experienced living with someone with an addiction.

“Ruffles”

My father-in-law has been talking about getting a dog for quite a while now.  Now with the passing of his wife, we figured that he would eventually get one, but we were quite surprised when we discovered that he went out yesterday and brought home  a dog.  The dog is a female dog and he named her “Ruffles”.  The kids are quite excited about this newest addition to the family and can’t wait to go see Ruffles.  Talking to my husband dad last night was so nice as he is so happy with his dog and for the first time in about two years, he honestly sounds happy.  So, toninght we will head down to his house to meet Ruffles.  If grampie is not careful, his grandson may want to move in with him just because he would want to be close to Ruffles.  But, I am honestly happy for him and thrilled that he will have this dog for some extra company.

My son is playing soccer

Ever since my youngest son was old enough to pass and kick a ball, one of his major dreams in life was to play soccer and join a team. But, for the longest time we have put him off, because he is so small and we don’t want to see him get hurt. Over the summer I have watched him play soccer with his friends and for the little bit that he has learned so far, he is actually quite good. So we have finally broke down and consented to let him play on a team this year. Now all I need to do is check out getting some Soccer Goals and equipment for him.

Thankfully there are places on the Internet that specialize on this type of sport. One site that I found that I was highly impressed with is over at soccergoalzinc.com. This site offers the widest selection on soccer equipment that I have found. You are able to get everything you need from this site to outfit any soccer player in your house. I have also discovered that when compared to other sites, their prices are extremely comparative and their helpful and friendly staff are always willing to assist you in any manner. So, if you have a upcoming pro soccer player in your home, and need to outfit them for the upcoming season, then I highly suggest that you drop by this site and get all the equipment that your soccer player is going to need.

How many blogs??

How many blogs are too many??  Does it all depend on the individual and how creative they are or how much time they have on their hands.  Currently I run and maintain six blogs.  And, some days I find that is just too much.  To try to discuss relevant content on them each and everyday can get quite tiresome so I wonder how everyone else does it.  In one of the forums that I frequent, I have seen people who have 13 or 14 blogs and even one person who claims to have 20.  How in the world do these people do it?  Do they spend their entire day on their blogs and where do they find all the inspiration needed to continue to write on these many blogs.

If your a blog owner yourself, how many do you run?  Where do you find the time to maintain them all and where do you get your inspiration for what you blog about?
