Well my two years is almost up.  Every two years I go and get my hair cut whether I want to or not.  The reason for this is actually quite silly.  It takes me up to two years to convince myself to try a different hair dresser.  In my 39 years, I have never found a hairdresser that I like.  For some reason any hairdresser that I have came into contact with does not listen to what I have to say.  They are always trying to convince me to try something new.  This something new usually involves puffy hair of some sort.  And, if you know me, you know I’m not a puffy hair type of gal.  But, my two years is up so I need to go and try to find that perfect hair dresser once again.

Yesterday I received news that my uncle passed away over the weekend.  At first I was royally mad because no one in the family thought to call me and inform me of his passing.  The only reason I found out when I did was because I went into the online social network over a Facebook and read a post on one of my cousin’s profiles.  To say I was not impressed was a serious understatement.  But, what can you do?  Family is family right?  Well I have gotten past my anger and now I am just sad.  My uncle was only 55 years old and was way….to young to die.  It’s not right and it’s not fair.  But unfortunately in life, sometimes things aren’t fair.  I feel really bad for his two kids as they are both only in their 20’s and I know (from personal experience) what it’s like to loose your dad to this insane disease (cancer).  But hopefully after life quites down they will be able to start to move on.

As far as my family goes, I’ll just keep doing what I do.  Love them in spite of themselves.

We need to purchase a viewsonic monitor for our kid’s computer. Their computer is seven years old, so really this doesn’t come as a major shock to me. But the problem is, is that sometimes the monitor is more expensive than replacing the entire system. This is why I was quite happy to see I could get a re-furbished model at less than half the price. Yesterday my daughter came home from school looking pretty pitiful.  She said she hadn’t been feeling good all day at school and when she told her teacher she wasn’t feeling good the teacher told her she was sure she could make it.  My daughter then informed me that she didn’t make it.  Obviously she did as she didn’t call for me to go get her.  All she has is a cold, but was insisting that she wasn’t going to school today.  She seemed OK this morning and did go to school.  But it was touch and go there for a little while.  LOL  I think part of her problem is that in the mornings at the bus stop she has been taking off her coat.  When I explained this could be the reason for her cold she did agree to keep in on from now on and this morning the coat did stay on.

My daughter who is in grade 4 has been wanting to learn the violin for about two years now.  But, you have to be in grade 4 to start the beginner lessons.  This year she is finally able to participate but because she is left handed we thought this may not be possible.  Well today she had a meeting with the violin teacher.  She told her that she is left handed and wondered if that would be a problem.  The teacher informed her that although she doesn’t have any left handed violins, she has taught left handed students in the past so she can’t see this as being a problem.  So this is great news for Kara, not so great for me and my ears.  Just kidding.  I can’t wait for her to start playing and for me to be able to start going to her concerts.
