My daughter is nine now so her father has decided that it time that she starts helping with the chores around the house.  At first this sounded like a pretty good idea.  As the chore he asked her to do was to fold the towels in the laundry.  But when he mentioned that she would be helping me do the dishes she rolled her eyes, but did agree.  So, I will be getting her to help me a little more often with the household chores.  I don’t know how happy she will be with this, but time will tell.  I was about her age when I started helping around the house and it didn’t hurt me.  My youngest son wants to help as well.  So I will be finding him some smaller chores to help out with.

Yesterday I got a phone call from my aunt. She was so upset because my uncle got caught drinking and driving again. In August, I told you all about my youngest son’s visit to the dentist.  We didn’t have a very good visit and he does require some extra work to be done on his teeth.  So for the past six weeks, I have been waiting for a call from the dentist to tell me when his appointment will be set for his dental surgery.  Yesterday I got the phone call from the dentist.  He needs to go to the hospital and be put to sleep for some dental work on October 5th.  Although his father is not in favor of this idea, I am as I would hate to see the kid be put through all of this work in a dental chair.  He has to have this work done, and I think that this is the very best option for him at this time.  So on October 5th we will be headed to the hospital and I will be sure to let you all know how he makes out.

As you all know, my husband and I are in the middle of renovating our home. We have done so much painting and papering that I will be glad to see it come to an end.
