Well it’s that time of year. When all the charities are going full force with their campaigning to help other unfortunate people to be able to have a good Christmas. My kids are so good this time of year. The want to get involved in all the charity giving that they possibly can around this time of year. This year their school has gotten involved in the shoe box program again. What this means is that each grade level brings in some type of non perishable item for the shoe boxes. When these boxes are all filled, they are then sent to a more unfortunate country to be given to people who wouldn’t otherwise be able to enjoy the Christmas season. This morning they went to school with their items and they are so…proud to be able to be involved with this project again this years. I am so proud that my kids are such giving people and I really hope they continue with their giving nature in years to come.

In January one of my best friends is going to Vegas and I am so jealous! Seriously, this is a major trip for her as we live in Canada so to be able to make a trip to Vegas will cost quite a bit, but this is a once in a life time trip that I know that she will be able to experience. Her and her husband have worked very hard during their lives so this is pretty much a celebration to them of all their hard work. Since she refuses to let me jump in her suitcase, she has promised to bring me back a collector’s spoon. And when she gets back, she will tell me all about it, so I can relive the experience with her. Better than nothing. I think…..

But, if you’d like to help me out even more, you can go in every day and place your vote until October 31.
I would like to thank you all in advance for your votes and with your help, I may just win this awesome contest!

Now that I have been trying to set up my small home crafting business, I have discovered that there is a lot of small things that have to do with business that I wouldn’t normally be aware of. One of these smaller details that I almost overlooked with adding some type of shopping cart software to my website. By adding this type of software, I will be able to encourage my customers to make purchases directly off my site with the use of their credit cards.
I have found that most websites that have some type of ecommerce software on their site generally do a better business than a website that doesn’t have it. By adding a shopping cart to my site, I will be able to spend up the purchasing process for any customer who wishes to make any type of purchase from my site. So, I will be stopping by ashopcommerce.com to get this software to be able to help me produce greater sales as a faster pace.

My youngest son is the only child that gets off the bus at his bus stop. I am down there every day to pick him up, but I have often wondered what would happen if I was ever running a little late or wasn’t down there to recieve him. Well the other day I wasn’t down there to get him (I had maded arrangements with another mother to grab him), so I did wonder if the bus driver would just let him off or if he would question as to why I wasn’t there. Well let me tell you that I was quite impressed! After I got to the bus stop and seen my son I asked her if the bus driver just let him off. She said no that he didn’t. He stopped the bus and asked her if Daniel was going with her. When she said yes, he then let him off the bus. So all my wondering and worrying was for nothing. As I now know that if something ever happened that I wasn’t at the bus stop the bus driver would not let him off by himself and he would take him back to the school. I feel better knowing that the kid will be safe until either I grab him or a friend grabs him.
But, I have to tell you that I don’t think this would happen very often as my son was quite annoyed that I wasn’t there to greet him. LOL

A person doesn’t really realize on how much they depend on their hot water until they don’t have any. This past couple of days has been a real eye opener for me. I haven’t had any hot water for two days, so I haven’t been able to do the dishes, scrub floors or have a bath or shower. You really don’t miss the little things in life until they have been taken away. Well, today the repair man is suppose to come to my home to fix my hot water tank and I really hope that he does and that it is not a major problem. I really don’t know what I would do if I had to go another two days without hot water.

Trying to determine which is the best life insurance policy for you and your family can be a very stressful task. There are so many things that you need to take into consideration that sometimes you can get bogged down by the smallest details. You have the choice of whether you would like a life insurance no medical exam policy or a policy that requires you to take a medical to determine the best class of policy for you. The best way to determine the right policy for you is to do as much research as you can, ask the professionals for their opinions and ask friends and family members what type of policy they chose and why.

Yesterday when I went to the school to pick up my daughter after violin practice, I took her violin with me to show to her teacher to see if it would be suitable for her to use this year. Unfortunately the violin is way to big for her so she won’t be able to use it this year. The only good thing about it is that it is too big and not too small which means she will eventually grow into it. But, we already paid the money for the violin rental from the school, so she will still get to play. She was so…looking forward to being able to use the violin that her grandfather bought her, but we will have to put it away for another year. She’s OK with it now though as she realizes that she still gets to play this year and that’s all that matters.

The one thing that I have discovered in life is that the older your kids get, the harder it is to find them a suitable Christmas gift. My oldest son is 18 and I really have no clue as to what he would like for Christmas this year. But, since he lives out on his own now I made the decision to purchase him a Samsonite luggage set. So, once my mind was made up, I went out and purchased this luggage set. Now if only I could figure out what to purchase my other two children, I will have this Christmas shopping pretty much wrapped up. Being only seven and nine, I really don’t think that they would appreciate a luggage set of their own. LOL
