I just love when other bloggers post that they have a new contest that they are running. Especially when I discover that it is some type of crafting contest. That is why I was so happy to see that Christine is holding an awesome scrapbooking contest.
I just got into scrapbooking a couple of years ago. Actually it was right after both my parents passed away in a relatively short period of time and I wanted to do something to keep their memories alive for my two youngest kids. So, I figured that making a scrapbook would be a perfect way to remember them by. But, it being my first attempt at this craft, it was really really basic. After I got a taste of my first scrapbook, I then went on to make more. But being limited to the supplies and materials that I currently own, these other scrapbooks were also basic as well. This is why I really, really want to win this particular contest. The contest winner will have the opportunity to win a lot of gidgets and gadgets that will turn their (my) boring everyday scrapbook into something spectacular.
So, the main reason why I would love Christine forever if my entry was the one to win is that if I won and received all these great prizes, I would then be able to make an amazing scrapbook of my husband’s mother, who also recently passed away, for my children. This would be a gift that I know they would treasure forever. And with this contest and Christine’s help, I know I could achieve this.

I just love walking into a store and seen items that have been previously for sale as seen on tv. There have been many times where I have wanted to purchase something that I seen on TV only to find out that the only place where you can purchase these items is through the TV. I never usually purchase the items as I am really squeamish as to giving out my personal information through a TV channel. This is why I love coming across these types of items in the stores. I can then purchase what I want and not have to worry about giving out any financial information.

As you all know, my oldest son moved out. Right now he lives quite far away, so I really have no clue what he is into these days. This makes it quite difficult for me when deciding what to purchase him for Christmas. So this year I have decided to purchase him a luggage set. You can’t go wrong with making this type of purchase as everyone travels at some point in their lives and this type of gift will never go bad. So, he will be majorly surprised this year as I know he would never expect for me to purchase this type of gift.

Last night I went to the school to the final meeting for any of the children who want to participate in the strings program. I learned a lot. I discovered that this type of program requires a major commitment on the part of the student and on the parents. It also requires a lot of work on the part of the student and a lot of support on the parents end. But, my daughter is still determined to join so I signed the paper and we will know within a couple of days whether she has been accepted or not. The reason for this wait is because the class can only hold 20 students, but 45 students want to take part in this musical experience. This means that 25 will not get in. So, the music instructor now needs to go to the students teachers to find out if the teacher thinks that they can handle the program as well as keeping up with all their classroom activities. My daughter realizes that she may not get in and she is OK with this. She really really wants to join but it won’t be the end of the world to her if this isn’t possible. So, as soon as I know the final outcome, I’ll be sure to stop by and let you all know.

It is now the beginning of October and already I have been hearing all about Halloween and the excitement surrounding it from my two youngest children. In my house, Halloween is as popular as Christmas or birthdays and this year is no exception. We usually try to give the kids the same Halloween costumes for a couple of years and then the next year we will go out and purchase them something new and different. Well, this year is the year that they each get a new Halloween costume. So, I have been doing a little digging around the Internet to come up with some fun and different kinds of costumes. I am happy to say that I discovered a site over at nfluniformset.com where I can get both of the kids a unique Halloween costume for this year’s Halloween experience.
Over at this site you will find a wide variety of Halloween Costumes to choose from. They have every costume imaginable and with the large variety of sizes available, there is something there for everyone. When comparing this site to other sites, I have discovered that their prices are extremely competitive. So, if you have a ghost or goblin in your house that is looking forward to this exciting experience, then I would highly suggest that you stop by this site and find the perfect costume to impress your young person.
