Well I wish my husband would make up my mind. LOL We now have carpet put down in both the kids bedrooms, but he has decided to go in a different direction for the floor in my new home office. We have some click flooring left over from the kitchen, so last night he asked me if I would be interested in putting that down instead of carpet. So, I think we are going to lay down flooring in this space instead of carpet. So now with that decision made, all I have to do is nag him completely to get the work done. That’s OK. As I already warned him that I would nag him to death until he gets this work completed. So, I’m back at my kitchen table until this work gets completed. And if he ever wants to have supper at the kitchen table again, I’m thinking that he may get this work done rather quickly.

Although I am far from retirement age, it is always fun to dream about where my husband and I would retire to when that time finally does arrive. My retirement wish would be to find a romantic vacation home Orlando. Living in Canada, we experience a lot of cold weather and when I retire, I would like to escape from the cold. If you had your wish where would you like to retire? Would it be somewhere warm like me or somewhere cold? It’s fun to think about, and when the time comes I WILL be headed down south.

I felt so bad for my youngest son this morning. At 6:00am our house was in complete darkness. We lost our power. When he discovered that we had no power he came flying out of his room screaming for his dad. I have never seen this side of him before. We have lost power in the past and it never affected him this way. He wasn’t happy and under control again until my husband found four flashlights so that the room was lit up quite nicely. I never thought that he was afraid of the dark, but I guess that would explain why he has to have his TV on all night. But, thankfully four hours later the power was back on and my young son was happy again.

This time of year, money always seems to be tight. Not only do you have your regular bills to pay, but with Christmas fast approaching you also require some extra cash to make all these extra purchases. Sometimes it is extremely difficult for a family to come up with this extra money. But, if you have any type of structured settlement in your possession that you can use, then coming up with this type of extra cash may not be so difficult.
There are companies on the market these days that specialize in structured settlements and they will help you get the required cash that you need. When you need it. They will by this settlement from you so that you have all the cash you need, when you need it. So, you will not have to wait a very long time to get a lump some of cash for any emergency that may arise or for the added expense of Christmas shopping. So, if you have a structured settlement and would like to see you cash a lot quicker than through monthly payments, then why not check out this site and see how they can help you get the money you need fast.

Last night the kids and I had a serious blast creating some Halloween crafts. Each of them had a $2.00 craft kit and you would have thought by all the fun they had that they each had a million dollars. Both of them pretty much made the entire thing themselves, but I had to help them a little bit with the glue gun. Now this morning both of their crafts are completed and dried so they took them to school to give them to their teacher’s. They are just like me! Every time I make a craft of any kind I usually give it away and now it seems like the kids do too. They love making crafts, but they really don’t care if they keep them. It was so much fun that this weekend I think I’ll buy them each another kit and try it again!

The real estate market in our town is at an all time high. This is great news for any sellers out there who are in the position to sell their homes. I really wish we were ready to sell as I know due to this fast moving market, we would be able to sell our home quite quickly. My only concern is that we won’t have our place on the market in time to capitalize on this massive growth. With our luck, the day we put our home on the market, the bottom will fall out. Oh well, I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this trend continues until we are ready to sell.

I’m really starting to wonder if the children who are in grade 4 ever stay in the classroom. LOL Yesterday my daughter came home with a form from school for another field trip. But thankfully this time it won’t cost us anything. Usually on these trips the school is always looking for extra money. But not this time. This field trip will be to a place where they can observe nature and the habitats of animals. This is a good field trip for my daughter as she is really interested in animals and I know she will get a lot out of this experience. So next week I will be mudding and mucking through the woods with my daughter’s class and getting back to nature. Wish me luck!

My kids love doing crafts and any holiday or special occasion is an excuse for them to make a craft. So, they were quite happy last night when my husband came home with a couple of small Halloween craft kits for them to make. It actually pleases me that they can be so impressed with a little kit that only cost $2.00. So I have promised them that today after school, after the homework is done, I will sit down and help them create their crafts. I have to help them as these crafts do involve using a hot glue stick and I can just imagine what would happen if I let them use this by themselves. So, tonight it’s craft night at my house. My daughter will be making a witch and my son will be making Frankenstein. Scary…

This is a serious question for you all. Why won’t kids listen at home, but they have no problems listening to their teachers at school and absorbing each and every word they say?? Here is an example of what I’m talking about. My daughter who is in grade 4 has really long hair. Every morning it is a serious fight to get her to brush her hair and put it up in either a head band or a pony. But, when her violin teacher tells her that on violin days she needs to have her hair put back (so it doesn’t get tangled in the strings), she has no problem putting her hair up and back. Matter of fact, this morning, she went to school with her hair in a pony and had a head band on.
So, my question to you all is why do kids behave like this?? Why do it for one with no problems, but fight with us over the same exact thing??

With Christmas fast approaching you can be that I will be taking advantage of the convenience of any online clothing store. As most of our purchases at this time of year is for children’s clothing, utilizing the services of this type of store is just a convenient way for me to shop. I don’t have to waste my gas checking around different stores, nor do I have to worry about the crowed malls. This has become my favorite way to shop. And, it makes me wonder what I ever did before the Internet was introduced.
