Most of you that read this blog are aware that I do a little paid blogging reviews for some extra income for my house. I also do a couple of affiliate programs. Yesterday when I checked my mailbox I seen a cheque in there from one of the affiliate companies that I work for. I was so excited as this was the first cheque that I received from this particular company so I was really happy to see that they do pay their affiliates. Well, I can’t even begin to explain my surprise and laughter when I opened up the cheque to see that it was made out to me for $1.50. I have never cashed a cheque for this amount in my life. I can’t wait to see the look on the girls faces at the bank when I do eventually take it down to put in my account. Oh well, hopefully next month I’ll get another cheque from them with a higher amount. I keep saying that every little bit helps, but….?

My son really thinks that my daughter’s grade 4 teacher is one of the best. Yesterday both of my kids went skating with their classes and for the first time ever they were both on the rink at the same time. Toward the end of the skating session my son fell down really hard and bumped his head (he is OK). But that was the end of skating for him and he wanted to come home. So, I said I would bring him home, but by him coming home he would miss out on his Halloween party at school. He wasn’t too impressed with this idea. So Kara’s teacher told him to come home for a little while and then come back to school in the afternoon JUST for the party. He thought this was really cool that a teacher was telling him to come home and then come back to school JUST to party, not to work. So, that’s what we did and the rest of his day was great.
When we got home, he informed me that when he gets in grade 4 he wants to have this teacher. That’s a pretty high complement coming from him as he is extremely shy and it does take him a while to warm up to teachers. But, this one stole his heart!

One of my friends just received a beautiful Jaeger Le Coultre watch as an appreciation gift for all her service to the company for the past 15 years. I had never seen a watch of this brand before, but after seeing hers I want one! I just love the style and look of the watch. She does work hard for the company and I was really pleased to see how they rewarded her for all her hard work. I have giving my husband some hints and maybe I will see something similar to this under my tree this year.
