Lifes Like That

As you all know, three months ago my mother-in-law passed away.  So every Sunday for the past three months we have made it a point to take the kids down to visit their grandfather.  My husband’s father and the kids look forward to this event every week.   Yesterday he called to see if we were coming down for a visit as usual, but my husband said no as he needed to do some work on my car.  So, his father called back wanted to take the kids out for the day.  I really didn’t realize until yesterday how much these Sundays have actually come to mean to him, but when he called for the kids I realized then that he didn’t want to miss his Sunday with them.  So, he came up and then we all went out for some dinner together.  So the kids still didn’t miss a Sunday with Grampie.
