The kids have been counting down the days. I was rudely awakened (not really) this morning by my youngest son running in and telling me that there is only THREE more days until the big guy arrives. Oh my! It’s cute to watch all the excitement build up around my house these days. Actually my daughter just asked me a little while ago how many hours until bed time. I’m thinking that this question was asked because she figures the faster she goes to sleep and wakes up then there will only be two more days until Christmas morning. I really think that she plans on sleeping the entire day away on Christmas eve just so the time will go by faster! Oh, to be a kid again.
Merry Christmas to each and every one of you and I honestly hope that in your home, this will be the best one ever!!

I know this probably sounds pretty silly that I would be planning my summer vacation this time of year, but I am the type of person that refuses to leave anything to chance. We have decided that this summer we will all be flying to Vancouver to visit my brother and all his family. So I have been checking into booking some flights to Vancouver. I have decided to use a company called dialaflight for all my vacation needs.
I have found this company to be the best independent travel company for any travel plans that a person may want. Even though I won’t be utilizing their excellent services that they offer concerning hotels, I will definitely be booking my flights through them. Not only do they have extremely competitive prices on all flights, but their booking practices are extremely easy and convenient to utilize as well. All you need to do is pick up the phone and call them, and their experienced and helpful staff will ensure that all your vacation plans are met with great satisfaction. So, if your planning a journey in the near future and would like the added piece of mind knowing that all your vacation plans are taken care of, then why not drop by this site and discover just exactly why they are the leaders in this industry.

Wednesday I had a very upsetting and quite unsettling day here on the Internet. So, yesterday I decided to take a me day. I found this was extremely important to me to step away from the computer and only worry about my “real life” for a change. What triggered this horrible day was I wrote a post on a teenager being caught drinking. (it’s in this blog, but I won’t link to it). You wouldn’t believe the comments and bashing I received over this post. You would have thought people thought I was talking about their child and school.
So, since this turn of events did upset me quite a bit, I decided not to go online at all yesterday. I needed to find out that if by staying away from all the “nasty commenter’s” I could bring back my love of blogging. I am happy to report that it did and I have come to a decision that these types of commenter’s will never get me down again. It’s my blog and my words. If they don’t agree with me and want to get nasty about the whole thing, then they don’t ever need to come back to my blog for another visit.
Now before anyone here gets upset with me for this post. Let me make one thing clear! I welcome comments and I do publish most of them. Even if the commenter doesn’t agree with me. But, when you start to get nasty, I will not publish the comment. If you want to have a rational (even heated) exchange of words and ideas, I am more than up for this. But, I will not subject myself to people who just want to be nasty.
I’m in a better frame of mind today so that’s how I know a ME day was successful!

My husband and some of his friends were having a friendly game of poker the other night and for some reason the topic of conversation got directed to the discussion of whether or not bodybuilding supplements are safe to consume. One of his friends takes them on a regular basis and claims that they are as safe as aspirin while another friend claimed that he won’t touch them with a ten foot poll. As I have never taken them myself, I really didn’t have an opinion on the matter. But it was actually quite entertaining to see these men get so heated in their discussion about these types of products. They were all very strong in their opinions and by the end of their conversation I wasn’t real sure on who won the debate.

Finally I got my car fixed!! A couple of weeks ago I took my car in for it’s annual inspection. Unfortunately for me the car failed. The price to get it fixed that the shop quoted me was completely outrageous, so I took the rejection sticker and went about my merry way. So, I started calling around to other different shops to see what kind of a price that they would quote me. I found one site that quoted me a lot less money so I made an appointment and took my car to them. I have to say that I received the very best service that I had ever received from any automotive shop. Not only were their prices the best around, but they also gave me a drive home and picked me back up when my car was ready. Because of this excellent customer service that they displayed, I have ever intention of going back to them next year when it’s time to get my car re-inspected.

Now that my husband has finally gotten his garage all cleaned out and de-cluttered, he has talking about purchasing some kerosene shop heaters to keep his space warm. There is nothing worse for a mechanic to be working on cars or equipment in a cold space. So he has decided that he is going to purchase a few heaters to heat his space.
So, I have told him about a site over at desatech.com where he will be able to purchase these products. Not only do they have the largest variety of room heaters on the Internet, but their prices are very competitive as well. So, if you would like to stay warm this winter in your home, office or shop, then I would suggest that you stop by this site and discover just how warm they can make your own space this winter.

Well I am happy to announce that all the Christmas presents are bought (not paid for. lol). And….it’s not even December 24. Usually every year I put the shopping off so long that I am still purchasing last minute items on December 24. Not this year!! Last night I sent my husband out to finish up the last of the shopping and although he did come home with a bundle, at least it is now finished!! Now all I need to do is wrap everything. So you can all guess what I will be doing later this afternoon and this evening. But that’s quite allright because as soon as I get everything wrapped. I can then boast that the shopping and wrapping is all done! I am so proud of us this year and I really think that I am going to try to continue this trend in future years.
How about you guys?? Still shopping and wrapping or are you done as well??

A friend of mine his having her own house built. I am so jealous! I am happy for her, but I wish it were me. She has shown me pictures and the plans of what it will look like and I know when the house is finally completed, she is going to be very happy in her new home. One thing that she is doing that I found to be extremely smart is that she is having the electrician install all the fiber cable that she will need directly into the structure of her home. I think this is a great idea as it will ensure that she will never need to purchase these types of cables again during the life of her home. Even though I am seriously jealous of this move for her, I really do hope that the house turns out to be everything that she wants.

When my husband was asking me what I would like to receive for Christmas, one of the things on my list was a micro sd memory card for my computer. Even though my computer is only two years old, it’s now obsolete. So, now I have been looking at ways to upgrade my computer so that I have more memory so that my computer will run better. It amazes me on how much memory is required to keep a computer up and running and right now at this present time, my computer isn’t running as well as it could be. So…Santa, if your reading this, I would really really like to receive a product like this.

One of the guys that my husband works with told him an extremely horrifying story last week. And…all I can say is where in he– were the teachers?? His fifteen year old daughter came home from school the other day totally DRUNK. Yes, she is only 15 and was at school or so her parents thought and walked through the house at 4:00 pm seriously loaded. I asked my husband if this happened at a school dance or an after school activity and he stated no that it happened during the school day.
Once again, WHERE WERE THE TEACHERS?? Well you can imagine that the parents of this child are not only furious with the child in question, but also with the teachers and principals. The school board is now looking into this matter, but in my opinion it should have never happened in the first place. This scares me so bad, because I have two little ones that are up and comming into the teenage world and I seriously am starting to wonder excatly what is going on in our school system these days.
Like I said, she is only 15 and this should have never happened!!!
