Lifes Like That

I am so….not a morning person. I’m really not a night person either, but that’s for a different day, different post! The main reason why I hate mornings so…much is because they are always so busy and so disorganized. I despise waking up to the fighting, running around and hollering that seems to accompany my life every morning. The weekends aren’t really bad, but during the week when my husband is getting ready for work and the two youngest kids are getting ready for school our home is really hetic. One of these days they are going to wake me up and I’m going to pretend not to hear them and maybe they will go away.

But the good news is. Is that after my TWO cups of coffee, I’m usually functioning quiet nicely. But it would still be awesome if I could somehow figure out how to avoid mornings in the future.

As you all know, we have an ongoing project going on in our home. Yes, the dreaded renovations! It has taken us a lot more time and money that I had originally thought it would to get all these projects completed. When we were re-doing the bathroom, I couldn’t believe how much new bathroom vanities cost. Thankfully for me, my husband has a great eye and is one of those people who can spot a deal a mile away. If it wasn’t for his sense of money, I know we would have ended up paying a lot more for items than we really needed to. So hopefully with the renovation continuations, his sale eye will still be working and we won’t be in the poor house when were finally finished everything we want to do.

Last night I was watching a show on TV about a couple who were wanting to purchase a vacation home. They already had a beautiful home that they lived in year round, but they were looking at purchasing some real estate in an exotic location for a summer home. It really got me to wondering how in the world would they do this? How would they be able to afford to carry two hefty mortgages. I know this isn’t the only couple of the face of this earth that carry two mortgages. But I have to wonder where in the world do they get the money for this type of purchase. My husband and I just get by in life with one mortgage and all the other bills that come with living. I would have now idea how to go about dropping this added expense into the picture.

I’ve got to tell you all that the biggest annoyance I have found on the Internet is having to sift through all the spam comments that I receive on all my blogs every day.  I literally spend a couple of hours each day rejecting spam comments.  But along with the time that it takes me to delete all these unnecessary comments, a couple of times I have deleted honest comments by mistake.

So, if I deleted a real comment from you, I am truly very sorry.  I value each and every “real” comment and I never would intentionally delete or spam your comment.  I wish there was a way in which I could make these spammers stop from visiting me.

Any suggestions??

Over this past weekend, I went out to do a little shopping. I was amazed at all the good deals that are going on right now. I think this is probably due to it being after Christmas and retailers are trying anything they can to get people shopping. Some of the items that I was looking at quite closely were different types of fitness equipment. Because it’s winter here and so much snow outside I don’t get many opportunities to get exercise. But if I had my own fitness equipment in my house, I would be able to get a lot more exercise during these long winter months. But before I make a any kind of purchase like this, I need to find space in my home to put this equipment.

When I go to purchase a new book, I tend to stay away from books that are trilogies or sequels.  The main reason for this, is because once I start reading the first book, I get hooked and know I’m going to drive myself crazy waiting for the next book to come out.  Unfortunately my husband doesn’t think of these things and this past Christmas he bought me a book that is going to be a series.  I started reading the book and yes now I’m hooked so again I will be waiting for the next book to come out and then the next one.

I’m certainly not complaining that he bought me a book, but now because I know that there are more books to follow in this series I am going to be anxiously checking out bookstores so I don’t miss the ending.  How about you guys?  Do you purchase single volumes or do you go for the series?

There has been a lot of controversy these days over what are legal steroids and what are not. I know that a lot of body builders will use these types of supplements to help enhance their workouts, but after hearing a lot about the side effects of these types of drugs I really have to wonder if the ends justify the means. Although some of these drugs are legal and you are allowed to use them, I have to wonder if putting those chemicals in your body will affect you negatively down the road. I guess if I were to ever contemplate taking them, I would have to do a lot of extra research on my end to decide if it would be worth it to me.

I just got finished talking to my best friend on the phone and it seems to me like her oldest son is getting back in trouble again. Although he is denying it, she’s pretty sure that he is back on drugs again. So she is once again trying to talk him into checking into an addiction treatment center. Unfortunately right now he won’t even admit that he has a problem so the chances of him reaching out for help right now is quite slim. I feel so bad for her as I know that there is absolutely nothing I can do to help her out in this matter. I guess all I can do for now is just let her know that I’m here for her and I am sending good thoughts her way and his.

Honestly guys there just isn’t enough hours in the day for me.  To get everything done that I need to get done, I have to learn how not to sleep!  But, since that isn’t possible I think I’m going to have to make a schedule for myself and then try to stick to it.  During a normal day for me, I have a few hours of Internet time that needs to take place, clean my house and then make some crafts for my home crafting business.  By the time I kick myself off the Internet all I have time for is a little cleaning of the house.  This means that I don’t get a whole lot of crafts started or made and no crafts, means no money.  So, I really need to get it together or else I’m going to have to learn how to sleep while I’m awake. lol

When I was growing up, the doctors discovered that I am highly allergic to a lot of drugs. So my parents bought me a medical alert bracelet for my allergies to penicillin. I was a very good girl and wore it all through my teen years, but as I got older I didn’t wear it and now I don’t even know where it is. So I really need to go looking at some different styles of medical alert bracelets, buy one and start wearing it. As I have gotten older, I have developed more allergies to different other drugs, so I really need to find one where I can list all my allergies. I know it’s not safe for me not to wear one, but I am so slack in these matters. But, I am going out looking and hopefully I’ll find one that works out for me.
