Weight gain update

posted in Health, general |

Well first of all I would like to tell you all that I’ve been a VERY GOOD GIRL!!  I am eating twice as much as I was and I am starting to put on the weight because of this.  Now, before you all go thinking that you “hate me because I’m skinny” I’m going to explain something to you.  Ever since I can remember I have been underweight.  I have just as hard of a job of putting on weight as anyone does trying to lose it.  I am 5 feet 1 inch tall but only weighed 89 pounds when I started my crusade to gain weight.  Now this is not healthy.  My doctor has told me that my ideal weight for my height is 110lbs.  I’ve never been that weight except when I was pregnant and since the baby factory has closed, I needed to find a different way to put on weight.  And now I have.

Normally I would eat once a day (whether or not I wanted to).  I don’t enjoy eating or food in general (another post for another day), but I have been forcing myself to eat twice a day.  And it’s finally starting to pay off.  So I started out at 89lbs and have managed to go up to (drum roll please) 92lbs.  So yes, I’m slowly creeping up there.  It hasn’t been easy, but I’m plugging away at it.  When I finally hit the 95lbs mark I’ll be back to tell you all about it.

Great job! Good luck gaining the rest of the weight you want. :) A lot of people don’t realize what a problem this is. It’s just as frustrating as people who want to lose weight.

I had the same problem when I was younger. I couldn’t break 100 pounds, and the doctors told me I needed to gain. It took a while. Now my metabolism is slower and I actually need to lose a few pounds. Ugh! That happy medium sure would be nice!

Great blog you’ve got here. :)
