Last night I was probably awake every hour on the hour. It was the worst night sleep that I had in a very long time. My back was killing me. A few years ago I was in a serious car accident and I messed up my back quite a bit. Now most times it doesn’t bother me, but other times it can disrupt my day to day activities like sleeping. The only way I have found to get myself straightened around is if I spend a few days on my elliptical. After a few days of vigorous workout, the back spasms seem to die down and then I can start sleeping again. This time I think that I will have to spend more than a few sessions on this piece of machinery and then hopefully I’ll never experience another night like I did last night.

Well it’s Sunday so that means shortly we will be headed to my father in laws for dinner. Ever since the passing of my husband’s mother, we have been joining my father in law for dinner every Sunday. Either he invites us down and cooks for us, or sometimes we will take him out for a meal. The kids really enjoy this time that we spend with him and I’m pretty sure that the promise of dinner on his part is just so that he can spend some quality time with the kids. He usually buys something that he knows they will enjoy and then shares it with them on Sunday. Well this past week he bought more computer games for them so he is quite excited to show them his purchases. Sometimes I wonder if my youngest son goes to his house to see him or his computer.

What type of avenues do you look at when deciding on your investments? I have gone the traditional routes with banks and retirement savings plans, but I have been thinking that there is still some other things that I could be doing to invest for my retirement future. One of the areas that I have been looking at very closely is buying gold coins for future investments. I came across a site over at monex.com where I could make this purchase of gold to add to my investment portfolio. Over at this site, I would be able to purchase all my gold products directly from their site. Then I would have the option of having these products shipped to my home or they would store these products for me until I needed them. Because this company has been in busy for so many years, I have all the confidence in the world that they would offer me a great product with wonderful and knowledgeable service.

It’s been quite a week and now finally the weekend is here. My huband did get his bonus today so first thing in the morning him, the kids and I will be headed out to our “March break”. The kids are so excited about our plans, that I really have to wonder how much sleep they will get tonight. They have never stayed over night in a motel or hotel before so this experience alone is keeping the excited. And knowing that tomorrow they will be going to a fun and water park, they honestly can’t wait. And neither can I. Just the thoughts of getting away with the family is a nice change for me and I’m sure that we will all come back quite happy and possibly a little tired.
I’ll be sure to pop back in when we get home and let you all know how things went. And you never know, you may just hear from me over the next couple of days as they do have wireless.

Well this weekend I am going to step away from my computer for a while. Yesterday my husband found out that his annual bonus will be coming on Friday, so we are planning on taking the kids on a small vacation this weekend. During March break we were unable to really do anything as my son was sick and my husband had to work. So with this extra money we have decided to do something special with the kids.
We are going to take them to Crystal Palace. This is an amusement park and water park. It’s a great place to take kids especially in the winter. It gives them something different to do as well as giving us some very much needed family time. Even though I won’t be home and online that much, I’m still going to take my laptop with me when I go. It will give me something to do while the kids are in bed sleeping. So, you’ll still see evidence of me, just not as much.

I’m sure you all have noticed a pretty neat widget in my side bar. Every day the picture changes, but…the message still stays the same. The message is “drop”. When you join entrecard and start dropping cards on other people’s sites, you are participating in a program that encourages traffic to your site. This is a wonderful program and I have seen a nice increase in my traffic levels since I joined. So, each week I am going to thank my top ten droppers publicly. If your on this list, then THANK YOU for dropping by so much, if your not and would like to be, all you need to to is “drop”.

Now with spring just around the corner, it won’t be much longer until we start to see the signs of summer. So of course this has gotten me to thinking about where I would like to go on our summer vacation. With my husband having four weeks of vacation this summer, the sky is the limit. One area where I have always wanted to go is to Branson. I have heard so many wonderful things about a Branson vacation, that I think that this may be the desired destination for this summer.
For a family of four, this type of vacation is very affordable. There are lots and lots of activities that take place during the summer where the entire family can get involved. The accommodations are very relaxing and inviting and their prices at some of their hotels and motels are very reasonable. Some of the activities that I know the kids would love to be involved in would be their water parks, and thrill rides. My husband would be extremely happy if he could play a few rounds of golf on their courses and I would absolutely love the different shopping attractions.
Honestly, in Branson, there are unlimited activities where we could all have a bit of fun, and I think we could pack in quite a few activities to make our stay the most memorable one for years to come.

Well the kids are not going to be very happy in about a month’s time. My husband has to go out of town for a week for his work. Every time he goes out of town for work, they get so upset and start to cry. The last time he went on a trip, as soon as they seen his Johnston and Murphy luggage set by the door they both started crying. So I think this time he should pack his bags while they are sleeping and put them in the car before they get up. This way they won’t see the luggage and won’t get as upset. They will still be sad, but maybe not quite so bad.

So yesterday my husband and I took the kids to the RV show. We seen a lot of campers and were able to go into most of them and look around. There were a lot of beautiful units there, but holy moly the money they want for them was out of this world. Unfortunately the only campers that were available for viewing were all the 2008 models and these models aren’t the ones that we can afford. But, it was fun to dream for a little while.
We are still considering purchasing a new (new to us) trailer this summer. But, we will be looking at the used ones and not the brand new ones. One of these years though we will be able to go to the RV show and purchase a brand new one. But not this year. Still it was a fun outing for the family and it definitely got us into the camping spirit.

I swear I spend more time shopping for pants for my husband than I ever do for the two kids combined. Last night he came home from work claiming that he needs anther new pair of pants as the ones he was wearing were getting a little tight. He won’t admit it, but he has put on a lot of weight over the winter months. So either we go out and purchase more new pants for him or I start giving him some hoodia pills. Since he won’t take medication very often, I’m thinking that we are probably going to need to purchase him some new pants.
