Family outing

Although the gas prices in our area are still creeping up higher and higher every week, my husband and I decided to take the kids out for a drive this past Sunday. I never realized how much I missed these little drives until we went on one. The area where we choose to drive has really grown up a lot over the past few months. There are now a lot of new stores and new prefabricated steel buildings. The area is really growing up which goes to show you that even with the high gas prices, our economy is still growing.

After checking out the scenery and the the different prefabricated steel buildings that are currently under construction we went out to dinner and then came home. After the kids were all settled in their beds for the night, I then went on the Internet to look up steel building information and tips. After seeing these buildings under construction first hand, it certainly peeked my curiosity as to how these buildings are built. It’s was quite an amazing read and I came away from the computer understanding the construction industry a little bit more.

Better day today

I have to say that after the long week I had with the kids last week, I really wasn’t looking forward to another week of having them home and fighting.  They have only been out of school for a little over a month, but I really think they need to go back.  I think they are both getting a little bored and that is why they are at one another constantly lately.  Thankfully today was one of their better days.  I didn’t have to yell at them a lot over their fighting and they actually got to play a lot outside today.  So I’m keeping my fingers crossed that last week was just a bad week for them and this behavior that I seen today will continue for the rest of the summer.  But only time will tell.

Getting ready for a wedding

My father in law is getting married in a couple of months. This means that I have quite a bit of things I need to do. First of all I will need to get a hair cut and dye. Also I need to purchase me and the kids some wedding clothes. And I also need to find some good acne cures to clear up my face before the big day and all the pictures. My husband is going to be the best man at this wedding so he is also going to need to get some new clothes as well. Although it’s my father in law getting married, I can see this day costing us quite a bit of money. I don’t think I spent this much money on my own wedding.

Going out for supper

Today is my husband’s and I’s anniversary.  We have been married for 7 long…years today.  We have actually been together for over 14 years, but it took me a little while to say yes when he asked me to marry him.  After seven years of marriage I can honestly say that I’m glad I did say yes!  So in a little while my husband is going to take me out to a restaurant of my choice for supper.  And yes, we are taking the kids.  Some of you may not think that this is a very romantic thing to do.  But since we have been together for so long, taking the kids with us isn’t a real big deal.

So…I guess I’ll see you all later.  Now all I have to do is decide where I want my husband to take me.

Still checking out life insurance policies

Although I went to my insurance company for a meeting regarding my current life insurance policy, I am still unsure as to whether or not I will end up getting this service from them. Their life insurance quotes seem pretty high so I’m thinking about calling around and getting more quotes from different companies. Although I would love to stay with my current company, if I can find a cheaper deal somewhere else for the same coverage then I’m going to have to take it. Who knows though maybe their prices are right on and I’m just not seeing the whole picture. Time will tell I guess.

I lost my beads!

Well I have a major job ahead of me today. I need to sort through all my crafting supplies to find some beads and wires. Last month I purchased some supplies to start making some religious jewelry to sell on my crafting site and for the life of me, I have no clue where I put them. So because I have so many supplies, it’s going to take me all day to go through them to try to find the supplies that I want to work with.

This always happens to me. I get it in my head to start a project. Then I can’t find the supplies I need to get started on the project. By the time I find the materials I usually have changed my mind about what I want to do. Not this time though. I’m going to find those supplies if it takes me all day.

We’ve been having some great weather

Although it’s been raining, cloudy and little cold these past few days, I couldn’t be happier.  The excessive heat that we were experiencing seems to be gone right now and the temperatures are quite nice.  It’s not too hot outside and I have actually been able to get quite a bit accomplished outside and in because I can breath a lot easier.  The weatherman is predicting a hot and humid weekend, but since we will be camping, I don’t mind that it will be hot.  During the week I love it when it’s not so nice outside and on the weekend I love it when the sun shines.

Starting a forum

The one thing that I have found to be a great source of free advertising is by participating in forums. They are an excellent way to promote any product or service that you would like to promote. I started one of my own a little while ago but it didn’t seem to take off. So I have been thinking about starting another one, but going in a different direction. Instead of going with a phpBB 3 account I have decided to go with foumity.com which is a Free Forum Hosting service.

Because it’s a free service, it takes the pressure off any admin when setting up their forum. They do all the work for you so all you need to concentrate on is advertising it and attracting new members. If you’ve been thinking about setting up your own forum, and would like free assistance in setting it up, why not drop by this site and see just how they can help you out.

Project Wonderful update

It’s been quite a while since I last posted about Project Wonderful.  So I thought I would give you an update.  Last week I hit the $10.00 payout again.  So I requested payout and within the day I was paid and it was in my paypal account.  So this was the second payment I have received from them for $10.00.  I know $10.00 doesn’t sound like much, but…after you place the code you then can forget about it.  You don’t have to do anything extra.  So it’s really passive income.  Plus every $10.00 I receive from them pays for one year of hosting for one of my sites.

So…I guess what I’m trying to say is that I am quite happy with the program and will continue on with it.

Were building an extension

Since we have decided to put our house hunting on the back burner for a little while we have decided to put an extension on our current home. It won’t be overly big, just enough room for a play room for the kids. It’s not like we will be able to fit any home theater seating in it. But with the extension we will be able to buy the kids an air hockey table which they have wanted for a very long time. We never had the room for any type of toy like this. So now all we have to do is purchase the wood and get building.
