Thirty fifth anniversary
It always amazes me when two people who have been married for a very long time have decided to call it quits. This just happened to someone in my family and to say I was absolutely stunned when I heard about it, is putting it quite mildly. My aunt and uncle after thirty five years have decided to call it quits.
This didn’t surprise me because they had a great marriage, it just surprised me because they had been together forever. My aunt has seen my uncle’s struggles with drug addiction and stood by him when he went into drug treatment. She even stood by him when he relapsed and was ordered by the courts to attend a different drug rehab center. He is clean and sober now so I guess this is why I was so surprised to hear about their separating. It really makes a person wonder if their marriage will last if even after this amount of time people still do break up.
