It’s been quite a few years since my husband has had to go out of town for his job. Well the time has come again. Next month he will be headed out of the country for a week to take a training course on some type of machinery. Thankfully this doesn’t happen too often but when it does the kids get extremely upset. Mainly because he won’t be here to kiss them good night.
In previous years we warned them well in advance that he had to go and they seemed to be OK with it. That was until they seen the luggage sitting in the hallway. Then I think it hit them that this is really happening. So this time we haven’t said a word to them about it. When there is about a week left before he has to go then we will tell them. And at no time will they see his luggage. Hopefully because they are older they will take the news about this trip a little better than they have previously. But only time will tell I guess.

I really do love blogging. Almost two years ago I set up my first blog and I have never looked back. One of my most favorite parts about blogging is receiving comments. I love to hear what people think about my site and what they think about things that I write. But one of the things that I really hate about blogging is some of the nasty comments that I receive from other bloggers. It hasn’t happened in a while on any of my sites, but just the other day I was browsing some blogs and seen a seriously nasty comment on someone else’s blog.
They were discussing Google page rank and the fact that theirs got dropped from a three to a zero. They seemed to be quite upset about this and one commenter slammed them big time over it. First they stated that they shouldn’t care about page rank and then slammed them for doing paid reviews. Honestly who’s business is it if someone does paid reviews on their blogs?? I do paid reviews on some blogs and since their my blogs, it’s my own choice. And yes, I have lost page rank because of it. But it doesn’t bother me any more. If it bothers others then that’s their prerogative.
I don’t understand why people can’t be nice. Just because were on the Internet and you can’t see us doesn’t mean the nastiness should come out. At least that’s my point of view.
