Although I am now 40, I do suffer from acne. I had always thought that this type of infliction was for teenagers and not older people but in recent years I have learned that this is not always the case. I have tried almost every acne treatment available on the market with moderate success. I have tried all the creams, but never thought to try acne pills. I just learned that you can buy pills that will help clear up acne. So this is a method that I’m seriously going to look into. It can’t hurt and hopefully it will help. I never experienced acne as a kid and I’m really hoping that what I’ve experienced lately is not a sign of things to come.

A couple of months ago I returned to my former place of employment. But I returned in the kitchen and not in the dining room and I have to say that the experience was not a great one. So I had decided to leave, but was willing to try to stick it out until June. Well with everything going on over the past few weeks I had come to the decision that this was not going to be possible. So last week I spoke to my employer and told her I probably wouldn’t be sticking around much longer. I did inform her that I wouldn’t do it right away, but it was going to happen.
So she suggest an alternative that sounded pretty good to me. In a weeks time I will be out of the kitchen and working back in the dining room. I’m going to be a waitress again and not a cook! Yay! Since this was where I wanted to be all along, I guess now I won’t be leaving any time soon. I do realize that this is going to be the longest week of my life, but I just keep thinking that after a weeks time I will be employed in the field where I want to be.

Last February my husband went out and purchased me a brand new laptop. I think he finally got tired about all my complaining about my computer and how slow it was. We had even invested money in a complete system memory upgrade and other upgrades as well, but it didn’t seem to help. So, he just went out and purchased me a new one that was a lot faster and we gave me old one to the kids to share. Well now their complaining that the computer is too slow. I really don’t understand why it’s running slow for them because all they do is play games on it. But I am thinking about taking it in and getting it looked at to see if there is anything we can do about it being so slow. I refuse to spend a whole lot of money, so if it costs quite a bit to upgrade it, then the kids will have to work with what they have. It would be different if they needed it for school, but if it’s just to play around with then it does not make sense to spend a fortune on it.

Last week we had a new store open up in our area. It is a jewelry and bead shop! Before they opened they had a sign posted on their door looking for help and when I seen that sign, I could have cried! I don’t have a reliable babysitter, so I couldn’t even think about applying.
You all have to understand that this would have been a perfect job for me! If I could get work in a craft store, a bead shop, or even a fabric store I would be in seventh heaven. But without a babysitter, this isn’t even an option for me. The good news is, is that I was talking to the owner, and she did tell me that when I get a sitter or when my daughter is old enough to watch her brother (in another three years), she would hire me in a heartbeat. So, you all know what means, I’m on the hunt to find a sitter. Hopefully soon I will be employed in my dream job!

In our house we have a tendency to watch a lot of small business programs. My husband was quite interested in a show that was on yesterday that was discussing all the ins and outs about getting into auto parts franchises. He was extremely interested in all aspects of this type of operation. The only problem is, is that to get into one of these operations, you need to have a bit of capital up front. And that’s something we don’t have. We have a lot of ideas, but not a lot of extra cash laying around. But you never know what the future will bring so maybe one of these days this dream of his will come true.

I have had to sick little people in my home for almost a week. So it came as no great surprise to me when I woke up yesterday morning with a serious head cold. I’m not kidding. My nose is running a mile a minute and my eyes are watering like there is no tomorrow. So I spent pretty much most of my day yesterday laying on the couch underneath my electric blanket. When my husband came home from work, he mentioned how bad I looked and when I explained to him that I hadn’t been on the computer all day because I felt so bad, he then knew I was in seriously bad shape.
Today is a bit better, but I still feel horrible, so I’m headed back to my couch and my electric blanket here very shortly.

Normally in our home we don’t shop a whole lot for Christmas presents for other people. Normally we just concentrate on our immediate family. But this year our family is doing something a little different. We have decided to pick name with the rest of the family. I got my niece’s name this year and since she is pregnant and expecting her first child very soon, she is going to be really easy to buy for. Yes, I will get her something small just for herself, but I also have plans to purchase her some baby bedding for her upcoming arrival. Since this is her first child, she really has nothing. So I figured if I purchase something for the baby, then she should be quite happy. I really do like this concept of picking names and this way I only have to buy for one extra person not twenty.

Last weekend my two youngest were invited to a birthday party. But they were unable to attend as my youngest son was quite sick. And because I had to stay home with him, I wasn’t able to drive my daughter to the party. Well they were both invited to a birthday party this weekend and guess what?? They are both sick. So neither one will be attending this party either. The one they were supposed to go to today was at the bowling alley so that is why missing this one is bothering them a little bit more than missing the one last weekend. But what can you do? When the kids are sick you certainly don’t want to take them around other kids and you don’t want them getting overtired and playing themselves out.
They don’t have to go back to school until Wednesday so hopefully by then all this illness will be over. There will be other parties and other trips to the bowling alley so this really isn’t the end of the world. But to hear the kids talk, you would think that it was.

Well I’ve been quite busy for the past couple of days. I decided that it was about time that I cleaned my bedroom out so that it once again felt and looked like a bedroom. I honestly couldn’t believe all the junk that I had stock piled since the last time I cleaned it. Now that I’ve got it almost cleaned out, I have decided that I want to renovate it as well. I went to the store yesterday and bought some paint, bamboo blinds, and borders. I can’t wait to see it all done. I’m probably the one who will end up doing all the work, but I really don’t mind. I think it’s going to be quite great when it’s all said and done. For the first time in over a year I can actually take people in my room without having to step over anything and everything.
