Lifes Like That

It really does make a person feel good when their missed now doesn’t it? I have had quite a few comments on some of my other blogs from some of my blogging buddies wondering where I have been. No, I haven’t been holed up in a hotel las vegas room or anything exciting like that. I have just been busy and sick. Yes, I’m finally getting over this horrible cold and flue after suffering with it for three weeks. I have been also working, shopping, wrapping and cleaning. So this is why you haven’t seen me around here or on any of my other blogs quite as much as I normally do. But, don’t fret. Once all the business of the holiday season is firmly behind us, I will be back and posting as usual. Until then, have fun and thanks again for missing me. Yeah, I kind of miss you all too. lol

Honestly if you had of asked me almost two years ago if I thought I would be still be blogging at this time or if I would have thought that I would do almost a thousand posts on just this blog, I would have told you no. In February of 2007 I started this blog as a way to meet and greet different people from all walks of life as well as to make a little extra income working from home. Since that time this blog has taken on a life of it’s own. I have met so many wonderful bloggers and can honestly call them my online friends. Just through this blog alone. Then because I had so much fun with blog I have started others. Although I don’t post as much as I would like to (due to offline activities) the time spent here has been a memorable one.

So…here’s to another 1000 posts at Life’s Like That and here’s to making many many more friends. Do you think I’ll still be posting here in the next couple of years? Yup! You betcha! I’m having so much fun that I couldn’t possibly stop now!

This past summer I was extremely pleased with myself when I finally hit my target weight of 110 lbs. Now for all you folks out there who are jealous of me, don’t be. I have as much trouble gaining weight as you all do losing it and I have a really hard time keeping the weight on after I have gained it. No, I don’t ever have to purchase safe diet pills or anything like that, but I do have to purchase some speciality foods which help a person gain weight. Well I’m here to report that I’ve now lost weight again. I really don’t know how that happened, I just know that I want to gain it back. So, it’s back to the drawing board for me again to see if I can get back up to my target weight.

What type of things do you do or use to gain weight?

Well now that it’s December and only three weeks are left until Christmas, I figured it was about time that I started getting ready for the big day. So I made a list and I have been slowly working my way down the list. Last weekend my husband purchased about half of the Christmas presents so I need to wrap all them. Doing that today. Yesterday I cleaned the living room and put up all my Christmas decorations. Tomorrow I will go through the rest of the house (well as much as I get to) and finish up all the cleaning that needs to be done around here. Then the first of next week I will be doing all my Christmas cooking (not much mind you, just a few treats). Then hopefully my husband will have bought the rest of the gifts and I can finish wrapping them as well.

For a fun festive holiday, it sure is a lot of work now isn’t it?? So as you can see I’ve gotten some work done. Now all I need to do is finish up the rest so I can enjoy this holiday season with my family and not have to worry about a thing.

Well I guess it’s official. My little home business of trying to sell crafts really hasn’t worked out all that well. I guess that’s why people call what we do a hobby and not a job. But don’t worry, I’m not really upset about it. I’ll still continue to do what I love and if I sell any then that’s just great. But if I don’t, that’s OK too. It just takes some of the stress off from continuously trying to sell things. Now I can go back to just making crafts for the pure pleasure of it. I would have loved to make a go out of it, but…it’s not the end of the world if I don’t. So I think I’m going to put off trying to get a home business up and running and just enjoy the time I have to create crafts. You never know what the future may hold so maybe I’ll try it again sometime in the future.
