Lifes Like That

My boss is an amazingly strong woman. Just about a month ago she suddenly lost her husband. He was only 52 and it was a great shock to everyone. Only a week after she buried him, she came back to work. Yesterday was the first time I had seen her since he passed and I really couldn’t get over how well she was doing. She even started showing me all the Bereavement Cards she received. I know if it were me, I probably wouldn’t want to look at those Sympathy Bereavement Cards or sympathy cards for a very long time. But, she keeps plugging on with life and really my hat does go off to her. I don’t know how she does it.

We live in a very small community. We live in a trailer park. All our homes are pretty close together so it really does pay for for all of us to get along. But unfortunately we have one neighbor who really can’t understand this line of thinking. They think their kid is perfect and they let him get away with everything. And unfortunately this is the one child that my son insists on playing with. When the two of them are together I have to watch my kid very closely. Then the parents get mad at me if I yap at my son for doing something wrong. It’s just a big fight everyday and I’m getting sick of it.
