Well now that it’s Friday, I have made our weekend plans. And guess what?? We don’t have any! My husband is on call this weekend so we’re pretty much limited to what we can do this weekend. But that’s OK because it gives us all a great chance to relax and unwind from the week.

Last night my aunt called me to inform me that my uncle was just diagnosed with Mesothelioma cancer. Now this is sad all on it’s own, except this news made me a bit sadder as he is the last of my father’s brothers to still be alive. And my grandmother is still alive so she has to go through this cancer business once again. My dad passed away from cancer as did my other uncle. So for the third boy in the family to be hit with this, this is just devastating. But as in other things in life, I’m trying to stay positive and am really hoping for the best.

In a couple of weeks the kids will be finished school and my husband will be on a week’s vacation from work. Although we don’t have any plans to check into any Las Vegas hotels, we do plan on taking the children on a camping trip. I really do hope that it warms up a bit before then, as right now it really is too cold to go camping. But, we still have a couple of weeks to go, so hopefully by then the weatherman will be cooperating with us.

When the KFC chicken bowls first come on the market, I thought they were the most disgusting looking piece of food that I had ever seen. Then my husband brought one home so I asked him for a taste, and you can just about imagine my surprise at how good they tasted. Well ever since that day I have been craving one. So this morning while I was doing my errands, I stopped into KFC and bought myself one. Well let me tell you all, that this bowl was definitely as good as the one he had and I plan on buying another one in the very near future.
