So most of you know that I do some paid posting for several companies. One of the companies that I consistently to work for is PayPerPost. I have been with them for well over a year now and am quite happy with the work I do for them. So, when I got wind that they were setting up another company called SocialSpark, I knew that I was at least going to try them out.
Well I have been with SocialSpark for a little over a month now. And over all I am quite pleased with what I’ve seen so far. Actually it’s a pretty easy site to join up with. Once you have signed up then you need to create a profile. In this profile you can list as many blogs as you want, name, age, marital status, likes, dislikes and employment history. The more information you provide, the better the advertisers can get to know you and decide if they want you to do work for them. If you would like to check out my profile at SocialSpark, my user name is kdarrell. I have decided to share my profile link with you so you can get a feel of what a public profile will look like. As you can see in my profile, I have friends (other bloggers and advertisers) and props (if people like your blogs or posts they can give you a prop). I don’t have a massive amount of each, but I do have enough for just starting out.
Then after setting up your profile. You can go into the system and start browsing the job market. If you like a particular opportunity then you click on it to be able to reserve it. If all the spots are filled, then you have the option of being put into a reservation when a slot becomes available. I really like this feature and have gotten quite a few opportunities this way. And while your waiting for opportunities to become available, you can go on in the system and start inviting people to be your friend.
My overall opinion of SocialSpark so far has it’s been a pretty good experience. Of course with this being a new program, there are still some kinks and bugs to be worked out. But overall it’s a pretty good company to be a part of. If you haven’t signed up for SocialSpark yet, then come on in and join us. Just let me know when you’ve joined so I can friend you. And if your in there and I’m not your friend, let me know and I’ll go in and friend you. See you all at SocialSpark.

After searching through hundreds of themes, I finally found one that I am extremely pleased with. I love the new look as it is so bright and cheerful. The only thing I despise about changing themes is the fact that I have to put in all my widgets and codes into the new theme. But I think I have it all completed and now I can get on with posting and not have to worry about design for a day or two. lol So this site is good to go which means I can go work on some of my other’s that I would like to spruce up.
Please let me know what you think of the new theme. I would love to get your feedback.

When I transferred this blog from host to another, I pretty much grabbed the first theme that I saw to get this blog back up and running. Now that everything is all transferred over and looking good, I have decided that I am going to try to find a different theme that I like better. Now, don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with this theme, but I don’t find that it stands out very well so I’m going to see if I can find something that will.
So if you drop back in here in the next couple of days and see a major change, now you know why.

When I first started using Entrecard, I was so pleased with the traffic results that I discovered that I was looking for a way to give a little back to the top droppers of this site. The one way which I could do this was through a post done twice a month now to thank each of you who drop in often. So this is the post you all have been waiting for. If your on list, then a big thank you goes out to each and every one of you. And, if your not on the list but would like to be, then all you need to do is drop!
1. Karlonia.com
2. The Sewing Mom
3. Pro Blog Reviews
4. Michael’s So-Called Life
5. My Cornerstone Trio
6. The BenSpark
7. What Lies Within The Mirror
8. Superficial Gallery
Well I guess there is only eight today as two of the sites seem to not be in Entrecard any longer. But thanks to these eight and I’ll see you all again in two weeks.

In January of this year I heard about an amazing site called Entrecard. This is a social networking site and after a few months being an active member of it, I have to say that it is probably the best social networking site on the Internet. Not only do you get the opportunity to find and read new blogs that you probably wouldn’t have discovered on your own, but the amount of traffic that this site will give to any of your sites is amazing. I have found this program to be so effective, that I have added it to all my blogs that I’m trying to promote.
So this is why I am quite excited to tell you about another way in which you can create more traffic through the use of Entrecard. If you belong to Social Spark and Entrecard, you can get your blog(s) put on a blogroll that was set up by Drew. By getting your blog(s) on this blogroll, you can be assured that everyone on the blogroll will be visiting your blog while your visiting theirs. I have been in this blogroll for the past week and have seen a lot of familiar faces on my Entrecard accounts from fellow social sparker’s.
So if you belong to Social Spark and Entrecard and would like to pass around the “love” just give a shout out to Drew and I’m sure he will be more than happy to welcome you into the “Socialcardsters” family.

I have only been blogging for a little over a year now, but I have found the blogging world to be quite fascinating. I have really enjoyed setting up my blogs, advertising them and watching my page rank grow over the last year. That was until this past October when Google decided to play around with all my blogs and strip them from the hard earned page rank that I once had. If you a blogger then you completely understand all the hard work that goes into achieving a high page rank. I only had a couple of 3’s and one 2, but I was proud of these numbers and to lose them because Google decided that some things I do (like paid blogging) didn’t fit into their line of thinking, was quite a difficult pill to swallow.
That’s why I was so happy to see that PayPerPost (one of the companies that I do work for) decided to take matters in their own hands and come up with a unique ranking system of their own. This ranking system is known as Real Rank and it measures your real traffic. Then you are assigned a number in their system as compared to other blogs in their system. The reason why this ranking system is so effective is because they actually collect your stats and the number they come up with are your real traffic numbers. Although this is a fairly new system in the world of blogging, I honestly do think it’s a better measure of a blog’s worth and I am quite sure that it won’t take very long to catch on.
One of the great things about this system is that you don’t have to be a blogger of PayPerPost to find out your real rank numbers. All you need to do is go over to the IZEA site and claim your blog. Then they will collect your data for you and tell you what your real rank is.

I’m not kidding. What an ordeal I just went through and I have to tell you that the customer service over at Bluehost was amazing. First of all I got this bright idea to transfer this domain from 1and1 to Bluehost. This morning I woke up to find that my site was not accessible (again. Yeah, I just went through this last week. lol). When I contacted them through a ticket they informed me that some of the files in my word-press were missing. So they told me to re-install it. I tried and major screwed up! So, I called them. And, they walked me through the whole entire process step by step.
Then they informed me that I needed to to have a back up of my old site so I could keep all my hard work. We are talking about over a year of posting so that’s a lot of work. Well, guess what, no back-up!! I was almost in tears. So the tech support person on the other end of the phone line helped me to retrieve my files and helped me back this up. If it was not for him, I would have lost everything. He went above and beyond which he did not have to do.
So, if your looking for a new host then I HIGHLY suggest Bluehost. I’m not kidding. For a computer “dummy” like myself, they are the only host to go with.

So, if your on my list, then thank you very much for your continued visits, and if your not on the list and want to be, all you need to do is drop!

Well it’s been a little over two years since I bought my first laptop and tried to find ways of earning a little extra income online. It’s been a struggle to say the least as I have found that there are a lot scams and scammers out there who are going to try to take your money.
I have pretty much tried everything on the Internet and have to say that there are only a couple of ways to earn income that I have found that have been worth my time and have costed me no money up front. The two avenues of income that I am talking about is paid blogging and freelance writing of articles. Any other program that I tried usually ended up costing me money or a waste of valuable time.
If you’ve found success with any other avenue of earning income online, I would love to hear from you.
