Lifes Like That

Man…. it would have been a beautiful weekend for camping! But… we aren’t going to go this weekend. My husband is on call this weekend and will probably get called in (he always does) and I’m in so much pain that I can’t even think straight let alone get things ready to go camping. Oh well, there’s always next weekend. The kids haven’t said anything about camping so I guess they won’t be seriously disappointed if we don’t go. I guess life will just get in the way this weekend.

This is absolutely my favorite time of year. The kids only have a couple of weeks left of school and then we will be headed out to the camping parks for the camping season. But before this happens we have to do some rv repairs and get out camper inspected. But really at this point that’s all we have left to do to be ready for the season. I really hope the next couple of weeks go quickly so that we can all start to enjoy the camping season once again.

Yesterday my husband got our camper trailer inspected and licensed. Well what that means to me is that the camping season is almost upon us. When we start to get the trailer out and he starts looking for the best weight loss products that he can find, then I know it’s time to start thinking about the season. Hopefully we get out a lot more than we did last year or I can see a few kids (and one big kid) seriously disappointed. But the weatherman insists that we are going to have a better summer this year, so really all I need to do is finish getting everything ready. Then we will be enjoying some serious camping time.

So of course with our weather being so nice these days, my thoughts have been turning to the upcoming camping season. Two months today the camping parks will be open for business. Now normally we don’t do a lot of camping until the kids get out of school, but this year could be different. If all this nice weather holds up and the temperatures stay mild, we probably will take out the camper before they are out of school. Man… I can’t wait for the camping season to start. Can’t you tell?!

One of our favorite things to do as a family is to go camping. But this past summer we were unable to get out camping as much as we would have liked. Between the illnesses that ran through our family, all the overtime my husband had to work and the rainy crappy weather, we kind of didn’t get out very much. Thankfully all we have is a pop up camper trailer that we can haul on our own and not something that we would have to pay someone for motorhome towing or we would have spent a lot of money on an activity we couldn’t enjoy. Well the season is over now and our trailer is now packed away for the season. Hopefully next season things will be better and we will get as much camping done as we want.

Yesterday we loaded up the camper and ended up going on our very first camping trip of the season. We were only able to stay the one night this trip as I do have to go to work later on this evening. But one day was better than none. We had a blast. The kids got to go swimming, play at the park and we were even able to check on a used rv for sale. Although they wanted way more money for this unit that we were willing to spend, it was still fun thinking about upgrading our camping trailer. Since my husband is off work this week we do plan on going out again, so I’m thinking we may get quite a bit of camping done this week.

Earlier this week I posted that I THOUGHT we would be able to go camping this weekend. Well that really didn’t work out the way I thought it would. First my husband had to work yesterday and then… yes, you guessed it, we got some rain. Seriously folks I am so sick and tired of this weather that I’m seriously considering making some Outer Banks reservations and running away. So far this summer, we have had some pretty crappy weather and haven’t been able to do much of anything. This has made the kids and me really cranky. Hopefully soon, this trend will end, we will see better weather and be able to do some stuff.

Well folks I think it’s finally going to happen! I think we are actually going to get a nice weekend. Our long range forecast is calling for sun on Thursday, Friday and Saturday so my husband and I are planning on taking the kids on a little camping trip this weekend. If we do in fact get out, this will be the first one of the season. The last few weekends have been so crappy that we haven’t even attempted to try to get in a camping trip. So please keep all your fingers and toes crossed that the weather stays the way it’s supposed to for this upcoming weekend.

In a couple of weeks the kids will be finished school and my husband will be on a week’s vacation from work. Although we don’t have any plans to check into any Las Vegas hotels, we do plan on taking the children on a camping trip. I really do hope that it warms up a bit before then, as right now it really is too cold to go camping. But, we still have a couple of weeks to go, so hopefully by then the weatherman will be cooperating with us.

Well it’s Friday once again. So you all know what that means now don’t you? That means that the weekend is right around the corner. Well this weekend we have plans to go on our very first camping trip of the season. We will be leaving fairly early tomorrow morning and staying overnight. We will come back sometime in the afternoon on Sunday. The kids are getting pretty excited about all this and have had their bags packed for over a week now. The weather is supposed to be nice all weekend so I think we will all have a pretty good time.
