Finally catching up

Well after having my husband and kids home for the past couple of weeks, I am really starting to catch up on all the work that I wasn’t able to get done when they were home. I don’t have all that much work to do on the Internet any more and most of my housework is getting done as well. I really do love my family, but when their home, nothing, and I mean nothing seems to get done. Hopefully I get all I need to have done, done by the weekend and then I will only have to put up with their weekend mess.

Back to work

Well after a week off, my husband went back to work this morning. Now normally I don’t really like it when he’s home for any length of time, but he actually wasn’t too bad this week. Normally he bugs the crap out of me and can sometimes be worse than the two younger kids. But this week he spent a lot of time on the computer looking up truck accessories and new trucks, so he pretty much let me alone. So now he’s back to work, but I have the two little ones home on their March break. So… I guess next week will be my time for a vacation.

So many choices

I have to tell you all that I’m a bit confused. My husband asked me to search around the Internet to find him the best possible way to lose weight. Now I’ve come across a lot of sites, so hence my confusion. How in the world with so many sites to chose from, can a person make up their mind in which direction to go. I found a pretty interesting site over at quickweightloss.org and have sent him the link, but other than that I haven’t found too much. They all say the same thing and claim to be the best. I think his best option is just to go to the doctor and see what he recommends. Maybe I’ll e-mail him his doctors name and he’ll get my hint.

Valentine’s day

So there is only two weeks until Valentine’s day which also means that my husband has only two weeks to his birthday as well. Yes, he is a Valentine’s baby. Every year I try to do something special for him as both days are the same one. This year I’ve decided to surprise him with Davidoff cigars. He likes a good cigar every once and a while so I thought this would be perfect for him. Of course I’ll get him other stuff as well, but this will be his treat for this year. Now I just hope they arrive in time for the big day.

Nice surprise

My husband gave me a nice surprise on Saturday. Normally after I get home from work on Saturday’s I have to make supper, feed the kids ad do the dishes. Well this past Saturday he bought supper and brought it home. And he even fed the kids. So all I had to do was come and eat to my little hearts content. And the best part?? It was from my favorite restaurant. KFC. Yay! So over the next two days I ate tons and tons of chicken and gravy. I ate so much that if I’m not careful I’ll have to start checking out some tretinoin products. But man…. it was good. I love little surprises like this and really hope he does it again in the very near future.

Getting older

My husband and I have been together for almost 16 years now, and we are both starting to show our age. I have a lot of gray hair (which a box of dye can take care of) and he is losing his hair (which a natural hair loss treatment can take care of). But he seems to be bothered by these signs of growing older more than I am. Next month he will be turning 43 and even now when the kids mention his upcoming birthday he gets quite annoyed. I know we all have to get older and I accept that, but he certainly doesn’t. Man…. he is only turning 43 I don’t know what the problem is?!

Flue season

Well the flue has arrived at our house once again. This time it’s my husband who’s been home sick for the past three days. I will be so glad when all this cold and flue season is firmly behind us. So today instead of going out and purchasing bodybuilding supplements, I was out purchasing cold and flue medication. Now that I’m home and he’s got some of this medication in him, hopefully this will help him feel better. It really doesn’t matter if it’s my kids or my husband that is home sick. I worry about them all and really do feel bad for them while their going through this. Thankfully no one else in the house has caught this.

Fun Santa Clause parade

Saturday night was our annual Santa Clause parade and we took the kids to it. First of all I would like to tell you all that it was quite mild out so standing in the cold watching a parade was something that we didn’t have to do this year. And because the kids weren’t cold, they were happier to stand outside and watch the parade. Well it was a good parade this year with lots of floats, lights and music. It definitely put me in the Christmas mood. Both of the kids had their letters made up and gave them to the post men to give to Santa. So all in all it was a very good night, and fun was had by all.

Christmas shopping

I realize that it’s only October, but it really is time to start thinking about Christmas and Christmas present shopping. Every year I agonize over what to get my father in law (he has everything). But I think I’m a head of the game this year. I have decided to get him some Swisher Sweets. I think he would really enjoy this type of gift. And I know it is something that he wouldn’t purchase for himself. So now that that decision is made, all I have to do now is figure out what to buy the three children. So once again I sit here wishing that Christmas was all done and over with so I wouldn’t have to drive myself nuts on what gifts to buy each of the family members.

Family BBQ

My oldest son is planning on making a trip home this summer after being away for two years. The kids are quite excited about this event and have been talking non stop about his home coming since they found out. One of the thing he has asked for when he comes home is to have a huge family BBQ. Apparently he hasn’t had a BBQ since he left home. So I’m going to stock up on hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken and ribs. Who knows, maybe I’ll throw in some fat burners as well. He will be home in a months time. So this will give me plenty of time to organize the biggest and best BBQ that I can. I know the kids are looking forward to this as am I.
