One site that I visit regularly is a site called mylot. Over at this site you can participate in discussions and earn a little spare income in the process. They don’t pay a huge amount of money, but the posting is very easy. All you need to do is post on different discussions you own opinions. Not bad for just posting your own thoughts and ideas for a little bit of pay.
Another reason I use this site is for the free advertising. I can reach a wide variety of an audience through this site and promote my blogs. This in turn increases my visitors and my page rank. So, if your interested in a way to earn a little extra income each month, meet some new friends and get more exposure for your blogs, why not stop by mylot today!

A very dear friend of mine is moving the end of the week and I have discovered that I’m going to miss her very much. I will also miss my little “buddie” giving me lilacs. So, joking around we always said that if she ever moved she would uproot her lilac tree and deliver it to me. Well, of course that’s not possible (it’s a big tree and the new owners could get a little upset at her and I) so today she did the next best thing and gave me some pieces to transplant in front of my house. As I don’t exactly have the “green thumb” I talked my husband in to transplanting it for me. So, I now have a small lilac bush planted and hopefully it will grow (and not become enemies with the lawn mower).
Now every time I look out my living room window, I will be reminded of my friend and my little “buddie”. It’s not quite the same as having them still living here, but it’s better than nothing. For this I THANK her!

As you all know, I have two younger children still living at home. My daughter is eight and my son is six. I have to say that they are pretty great kids. Now I’ll tell you why. Today was their last book fair at their school for the year. My husband sent them to school this morning with eight dollars each. When they both arrived home from school they showed me what they purchased and for once they didn’t purchase a bunch of junk. Then they both informed me that they each gave one of their friends a couple of dollars as their friends didn’t have any money to buy anything with. I thought this was so awesome. I don’t mind that they shared their money and it just goes to show you how caring and thoughtful they both are. They would rather go with a little less stuff, then see any other child go without.
So just in case I didn’t mention this before, I have got a couple of GREAT kids and it makes me very proud to see them growing up in this way.

One of the best things about belonging to the blogging community is that you meet so many interesting and diverse people. While meeting them you also have a chance to tap into their wealth of knowledge. And I have met a lot of people who have given me a hand with one problem or another. I have found that too succeed, all bloggers need to stick together. This is why when a blogger that I know starts a brand new blog I like to give you all a heads up. Leigh has just started a brand new blog at http://eternalflux.blogspot.com. Because I frequent her other blog quite regularly, I know that her latest blog will be just as popular as her current one. So, if you would like to know more about eternalflux why not drop by her site and say hi. I know she would really appreciate the visit and you will find some more interesting reading material to keep you entertained.

Three years ago, a girl started at my place of employement as a waitress. Over the past three years we kind of became friends. I wouldn’t say that we were best friends by any means and I did have to watch what I said and did around her as I was her boss. We worked together great and go along fine, but ours really was a working relationship. Now that I’ve finished there, we have become a lot better friends. I am having a slight problem with my oldest son and earlier in the week felt like I was all alone, so I took the chance and gave her a call just to talk. She is so amazing. She doesn’t always agree with everything I say, but that is fine as I just needed to hear someone else’s opinion. I know she doesn’t realize how much I have become to depend on her, but I felt that I just needed to post this to let her know. So, this is why I think having friends is so important. And, I can promise you all that I do appreciate her and even when the situation at my house dies down, I will still appreciate her and keep in touch.

Lisa is just counting down the days until her little bundle of joy has arrived. This is a very exciting time for her and I can imagine a little stressful as she already has a little person at home. Madison is so cute and you can see the pictures of her at her graduation, her new glasses, and how she got along with the Easter Bunny. Checking out her site almost makes me want another one, but not quite. lol So, why not hop over to Lisa’s site and wish her good luck with the little one that is almost her and check out how cute her daugher is.

Since I’m posting this, obviously this isn’t really a surprise party, but the girls at work think that I don’t know anything about it. But because one of the girls I work with knows that I don’t like to be ambushed, they pre-warned me that something like this is taking place in the near future. In five days, I will no longer be working at my current place of employment and because I’ve been there for so long and know quite a few people they have decided to have a going away party for me. I think this is a very sweet and wonderful idea. But, had I not known about it ahead of time, I would have been embarrased and my friend was aware of this so this is why she warned me. I think this is great and when the time comes I will act completely surprised, but at least I’m aware of whats going on and can prepare for it.

As I am an avid reader I always get quite excited when I find that people have books to give away for free. A friend of mine just informed me that she had just been giving a cardboard box full of books from another friend. And, since she doesn’t read she thought of me. I can’t wait to see what kind of treasures are in the box. I generally only read historical romance novels, but when my supply of books is running low, I will read almost anything. So, it really makes no difference to me what type of books are inside the box, as I’m sure I will eventually read them all. So, I’m thinking that today is almost like christmas and I can’t wait to open my “present”.

Well she finally did. I told her all about how much fun blogging has begun to be for me and have been pestering her to set up her own blog and now she finally has one up and running. Over at Carries blog you can read all about her kids, her activities and her life in general. She is trying very hard to build up her readership and increase her page rank, so I’m hoping with this post I can help her out. So, if you’d like to meet a new friend and give a fellow blogger some feedback why not drop by Carrie’s site and give her a high five for all her hard work.
