Lifes Like That

Last night my youngest son actually had the nerve to ask me if I planned on doing any Christmas baking. Does he not know his mother at all?? I can’t cook to save my soul. And actually I don’t enjoy cooking. I haven’t even purchased any cookbooks or scales during my life. Honestly that’s how much I detest cooking. So I patiently explained to him that I would be buying all my Christmas baking just like I do every year. He was okay with this. He really doesn’t care how the food gets here, just as long as it does.

Yesterday my inspection ran out on my car so until next Friday I can’t legally drive it. And since I’ve got to go to work tonight, I thought I had a major problem. But once again, my husband came through for me. He is allowing me to drive his Jeep until I get my car inspected. So I guess I can go to work and do a bit of running around for him as well. I have to find some of the best fat burners on the market for him. So I guess that’s why he offered up his vehicle.

Once again my car is due for it’s annual inspection and once again I am not looking forward to this little adventure. My husband looked over my car and claims that it *should* pass inspection. But every time he says that, something on my car normally fails. I guess I will find out next Friday. That’s the earliest I could get my car in. So… wish me luck!

Boy are the nights ever getting colder now. You can sure tell that winter is on it’s way. Last night my husband dug out our infrared heater to see if it is going to need to be serviced before we can use it. We are definitely going to need it sooner rather than later. I really don’t mind that winter is coming quickly I just hope it won’t be a long, hard cold one. But if it is, we will definitely be ready.

Well now that it’s fall it’s time once again to put all our summer items away. This means that I will have to find a place to put all our patio furniture for the winter. I don’t have to worry about motorhome repairs but I do have to invest in a few pop up camper repairs. I would love to find a place where I can store this over the winter, but I don’t think that is going to happen. I would like to get all this done before the first snow flies. Now that it’s October I think I have got to put a push on and get this all settled away.

In about 30 minutes we are due to lose our power for a little while. So I am seriously rushing through all my computer work to try to get it all done before I have no power. We are only supposed to lose our power for a couple of hours but you never know so I want to make sure that I have everything done before it goes out. Thankfully the kids are in school so really the only person who will be affected by this is me. Maybe I’ll have a nap for a couple of hours while I have no power.

Monday is probably the day of the week that I dread the most. It’s the day after the weekend that the kids and my husband have been home. So not much work gets done and they have a tendency to mess the house a wee bit. So Monday is usually the day that I try to get caught up on all my work. Well today wasn’t any different. I did tons and tons of laundry, shopped around for an insurance quote, did two days worth of dishes and swept all the floors. I didn’t finish everything I wanted to do but at least I made a good stab at it. Man…. I hate Mondays!

Next month the contract on my phone is up and I’d really like to get a new phone. I have been doing a little research on the Internet on what is the hottest phones these days and I’ve got to tell you all that I’m highly impressed with what I have discovered so far. There are so many phones to chose from that it is a bit overwhelming trying to make a decision. I think I have decided to purchase an iphone and purchase the iphone warranty as well. Now all I have to do is wait until my contract expires next month and then make my purchase. I can’t wait!!
