Today’s market seems to be saturated with health, acne and help to lose weight products. For consumers, this can be very frustrating trying to find what products are right for them. Although I don’t have a weight problem so I’m not on the lookout for weight loss products, I do tend to get some serious acne so I am constantly looking for new products to help me with this problem. I have found a lot of products that claim to be the best, but only one product that lives up to it’s promise. I use Orovo. Not only is this product good for getting rid of acne, but it also helps to build overall health and wellness. So I’m really getting two solutions for the price of one.

Although I’m not in seriously horrible shape, I can tell that I kind of let things go throughout the winter. So now with the arrival of spring, I really need to get back into my getting in shape routine. Although I don’t have a membership at our local gym, one of my friends hooked me up with a free week pass so I think I’m going to check out the gym and see what it has to offer. I have heard a lot of good things concerning the results you can expect by using the ellipticals, so I think this may be the first piece of machinery I try out. Then if I like it and the results I get by using it, I may then look into getting one of my own for my own home gym.

Well the kids are home from school today. It’s parent teacher day at their school so they get to look forward to another long weekend. Today I had plans to take my daughter around the neighborhood to see if she could get some pledges for her upcoming fiddle-a-thon. Well those plans have changed. I won’t be able to take her around the neighborhood as my youngest son is home sick. He has a really bad cough and taking him out in the cold just won’t do him any good. So instead of taking her from house to house, I will be taking my son to the doctor. My husband is off work tomorrow so hopefully Kara and I can go then and he can stay home with Daniel.
Oh well, no big deal. She still has a week to get these pledges. I’m sure we will get her hooked up by then.

Although my oldest son is now 18 and lives out on his own, he still needs his mother. All his teenage life he has had a serious problem with acne. Nothing he ever tries seems to work for him. So he e-mailed me the other day to ask if I know of the best acne treatment that is available on the market. Since I’ve never experienced this type of problem before I wasn’t really sure what to tell him. So I told him that he should talk to the pharmacist and see what they have to suggest. It was a great feeling knowing that although he is a “young man”, there are still times that he needs his mommy. Unfortunately this time I wasn’t much help. Maybe next time I will be.

We are in the middle of a long weekend and the kids have an even longer weekend than was originally planned as they were home from school on Thursday as well. It’s only Saturday and we still have Sunday and Monday to get through, and I don’t know if I’m going to make it. There has been a lot of fighting this weekend and if it keeps up, I think I’m going to run away to some Branson cabins for a little alone time. Having two young kids at home can sometimes be a little stressful and it’s days like this when I know I would appreciate a little alone time just to save my sanity.

I’m extremely amazed at how much weight my father in law has been able to take off and keep off. Although he is nearing 70, maintaining a healthy weight has always been important to him. He has used weight loss pills, exercise equipment and has changed his diet. It is difficult enough for a person to lose the weight, but to be able to keep it off as well is a major accomplishment. And, now that spring is almost here, he will be able to continue his exercises outside. He is extremely pleased with himself and I can see that he has the determination to keep the extra pounds off.

Last night I was probably awake every hour on the hour. It was the worst night sleep that I had in a very long time. My back was killing me. A few years ago I was in a serious car accident and I messed up my back quite a bit. Now most times it doesn’t bother me, but other times it can disrupt my day to day activities like sleeping. The only way I have found to get myself straightened around is if I spend a few days on my elliptical. After a few days of vigorous workout, the back spasms seem to die down and then I can start sleeping again. This time I think that I will have to spend more than a few sessions on this piece of machinery and then hopefully I’ll never experience another night like I did last night.

Well first of all I would like to tell you all that I’ve been a VERY GOOD GIRL!! I am eating twice as much as I was and I am starting to put on the weight because of this. Now, before you all go thinking that you “hate me because I’m skinny” I’m going to explain something to you. Ever since I can remember I have been underweight. I have just as hard of a job of putting on weight as anyone does trying to lose it. I am 5 feet 1 inch tall but only weighed 89 pounds when I started my crusade to gain weight. Now this is not healthy. My doctor has told me that my ideal weight for my height is 110lbs. I’ve never been that weight except when I was pregnant and since the baby factory has closed, I needed to find a different way to put on weight. And now I have.
Normally I would eat once a day (whether or not I wanted to). I don’t enjoy eating or food in general (another post for another day), but I have been forcing myself to eat twice a day. And it’s finally starting to pay off. So I started out at 89lbs and have managed to go up to (drum roll please) 92lbs. So yes, I’m slowly creeping up there. It hasn’t been easy, but I’m plugging away at it. When I finally hit the 95lbs mark I’ll be back to tell you all about it.

Every once and a while my son will surprise me. One of the main reasons why I dislike my son getting sick is when the doctor gives him medicine, most times he refuses to take it. On occasion he has even hidden it from me in hopes that I will forget that it’s here. That is why I am so…happy. He likes his medicine. Not only does he like taking it, he has reminded me when it’s time to take it. And, that just isn’t Daniel.
So, I tried something different with his fever medicine as well. Normally I buy children’s Advil, but he won’t take that either. So I picked up a bottle of children’s grape Motrin. And guess what, he likes that too. So, maybe this time around he will take all his medicine without the fighting and he will get better all that much sooner.

It wasn’t that long ago, that I would have never entertained the thoughts of checking around for different term life insurance quotes. I guess when your younger, you think your invincible and don’t really believe any bad will happen to you. But as you get older, you start thinking about these things a little differently. Although I don’t like to think about death and everything associated with it, I have come to the conclusion that I need to step outside my comfort zone and look at these things a little more closely. I guess that’s why I think that I must be getting older. The younger me wouldn’t have even had thoughts in this direction.
