I’d love to be an artist

Although I am very crafty in some areas such as knitting, quilting and jewelry making, some artistic areas I am seriously lacking in. I would love to be able to paint, sculpt or even body paint. But that is where my creativity ends. Even though I am not that kind of artist, I really enjoy do looking at other people’s works and I have always wondered as to where they get their talent and designs for some of their creations. I would have to say that I am highly interested in the art of body painting and lately I have being doing a little bit of research on this subject.

I have always wondered where in the world people find enough liquid latex to be able to do this type of art. I would imagine it would take a great deal of paint, and it is probably quite expensive. I guess that is why it’s pretty cool that their are sites available such as liquidlatex.com where a person could get all the body paint they would need. Not only can you find a wide array of colours from this site, but they also come in three different size cans. You can get them in the 16oz, 32oz and gallon containers. Also, if your not ready to make a big purchase of a lot of paint, you can always browse their paint sleeves to get an idea of what you would like. Purchasing is extremely easy and all you need to do is place your order directly from their site and they will have it shipped to your destination.

So if this type of art is something that you are interested in, or you would like more information regarding the needed supplies to get started in the body art business, then I highly recommend checking out this site to see what they have to offer.

Trilogies

When I go to purchase a new book, I tend to stay away from books that are trilogies or sequels.  The main reason for this, is because once I start reading the first book, I get hooked and know I’m going to drive myself crazy waiting for the next book to come out.  Unfortunately my husband doesn’t think of these things and this past Christmas he bought me a book that is going to be a series.  I started reading the book and yes now I’m hooked so again I will be waiting for the next book to come out and then the next one.

I’m certainly not complaining that he bought me a book, but now because I know that there are more books to follow in this series I am going to be anxiously checking out bookstores so I don’t miss the ending.  How about you guys?  Do you purchase single volumes or do you go for the series?

Fine art collections

One of people’s favorite hobbies is collecting some form of art. Not only are they extremely attractive to look at, but over time these pieces can become quite valuable. To be able to get involved in something like this, you need to find a reputable art gallery like the Park West Gallery to make your purchases from. This gallery is the largest gallery in the world to display the fine arts. They conduct their art auctions all through the United States and Canada. Their affiliate company, Park West as Sea, holds cruise ship auctions around the world. So, if you’ve been interested in starting an art collection of your own and didn’t know where to find the best art gallery to begin this, then I highly suggest that you drop by this site and begin your collecting today.

Amazing yard sale

Yesterday on our way to my husband’s fathers house we seen someone having a yard sale.  So just for kicks, we decided to stop in and see what they had for sale.  Most yard sales consist of a lot of junk or they charge unreal prices for their junk.  But, we were seriously surprised a this yard sale.  The prices were really good.  I ended up getting six books for $1.50.  You can’t beat that.

Sorry Tammy, you don’t get these ones as they will be part of my collection of V.C. Andrews so I won’t be passing them on to you. LOL  It would be nice if all yard sales were like this.  Maybe it wouldn’t cost me such a fortune in books. LOL

New book store

I am so happy.  Just this past week a new used book store opened up in our area.  Now when I’m finished reading a book, I can take it into this store and either trade it in for a new book or obtain store credit for use at a later date.  Not only will this ensure my book reading pleasure for months to come, but it gives me a great outlet to get rid of the books that I have finished reading.  I used to pass over the books I was finished with to my mother, but now with her gone, I really had nothing to do with them.  Now I can trade them in and someone else will get pleasure out of the books I have traded in, and I will have the opportunity of obtaining some brand new reading material for me.

Feeding my habit

As an avid reader, I have come to discover that you can never have too many books. My husband would strongly disagree with this statement, but I guess that’s because he isn’t as hooked on reading as I am. Usually I purchase my books at discount stores because I buy so many of them. But lately I have been searching at different sites online to see if I can get them any cheaper. Purchasing books online seems to be the way to go for anyone who reads as much as I do. After I make the purchases, I then have lots of books to choose from and when I am ready to make another purchase, all I need to is find my mouse and have a click.

Becoming a big girl

Now that our daughter is nine, her father and I have decided that she is old enough to start her own jewelry collection. She has admired mine for years, and being bigger I think she could probably take care fo a collection of her own. Over the past year, she has proven that she is starting to mature and with this maturity comes some benefits. So, we have been looking at purchasing her a necklace and bracelet to get her on the road to her own collection of find jewelry.

Building models

One of the presents that my son got for his birthday was a model.  Although he is only seven his father is so anxious to get him involved in one of his hobbies that he purchased a model kit for him.  And of course he’s too little to make it so he’s father will end up building most of it.  But even though he won’t be building it, this little project will give him and his father some time together.  So, in the end it will all work out.

Honestly I think his father bought the model kit for himself, as this is one of his favorite hobbies, and just pretended that he bought it for our son.

All about wine

My latest hobby that I have just sarted to get into is the wine hobby. I’ve always enjoyed drinking a good bottle of wine, but now I’ve started to getting into purchasing different types of wines and trying out new tastes. Over the past few months, my collection has started to grow quite extensively so I have decided that I really need to check into purchasing some Wine Racks. Obviously as I am just getting into this collection, I don’t have a whole lot of knowledge concerning wine racks and wine accessories so this is why I have started to do some research on different places where I may be able to pick up some of these items.

I have found a site over at thevinestore.com that sells wine racks and also wine supply accessories. Over at this site I have discovered that they have an extremely diverse collection of wine racks. You can purchase metal ones, steel ones or the classic wooden ones. After browsing this site and making your selection you can order anything they have in stock directly off their site and they will have it delivered directly to your house. If you have any questions or concerns what so ever, they are more than happy to help you out. By checking out this site and comparing their prices to others, I have also discovered that their prices are extremely competitive. So, if your like I am and just starting out in your wine collecting business and would like to find a site that answers all your winery questions, then I highly suggest that you check out this site to discover the latest in the world of wine collections.

True crime books

As most of you know one of my favorite hobbies in life is to do some reading.  This is usually how I relax after a long day with the kids.  I usually only read romance and historical romance books, but if a title on another type of book catches my eye, I will purchase it and attempt to read it.  One type of book that I have seemed to have obtained an interest in is “True Crime” books.  I really don’t know what the facination of these books are especially since I don’t know that parties involved and usually the crimes are pretty morbid.  But, with the amout of the these types of books being sold, I’m thinking that I’m not the only one who enjoys reading this type of book.

As long as there is crime happening in our country, there will always be the opportunity to purchase and read these types of reading material.
