Lifes Like That

So there is only two weeks until Valentine’s day which also means that my husband has only two weeks to his birthday as well. Yes, he is a Valentine’s baby. Every year I try to do something special for him as both days are the same one. This year I’ve decided to surprise him with Davidoff cigars. He likes a good cigar every once and a while so I thought this would be perfect for him. Of course I’ll get him other stuff as well, but this will be his treat for this year. Now I just hope they arrive in time for the big day.

So my husband and I finally have made a dent in our Christmas shopping. Yesterday he stopped into one of our local stores while he was on his lunch break and bought our daughter some Couture Jewelry and bought our son a Jimmie Johnson race car (for all you NASCAR fans out there, you know who he is). But that was pretty much it. I know it’s not much, but hey, at least it’s a start. Now that we’ve started I think I’ll see a little more progress in the weeks to come. So how about you guys?? Have you started yet??

Monday is my daughter’s 11th birthday and Tuesday is my son’s 9th birthday. So we really need to purchase these kids a couple of presents. My daughter has been looking at ipods and my son has been begging for video games. So, we know what we want to get them, now all we need to do is go out and make the purchases. This time of year is always expensive for us and we generally put our purchasing needs off. But with Monday and Tuesday creeping up on us, we should really get on the ball and buy a couple of presents.

Today is my husband’s and I’s eight wedding anniversary. So I would like to take this opportunity to wish him a seriously great anniversary. And hopefully we have many, many more to come!
