Lifes Like That

My husband is so funny. Last week I finished all of our Christmas shopping and told my husband we were all good to go. Well apparently he didn’t take my word for it as he went out last night after work and did some more. Well now we have quite a few presents sitting in our house. We ended up getting his father a gift card from Canadian Tire and some cohiba cigars as well. Plus I had already gotten him and his wife a gift card from where I work. So I think we are really, really good to go. I just hope this man will stop shopping now but you never know. I guess time will tell if we are really truly done Christmas shopping.

With only three weeks left until Christmas, I am happy to report that I’m almost done my Christmas shopping! I still have some gifts to buy my husband but most of the other shopping is completed. I found a book at the bookstore over the weekend on how to build muscle fast for my oldest son, so he’s shopping is complete. So all I have to do is finish up my husband’s shopping, get the stocking stuff and then I’m done! Yay for me!

I can’t believe it! For the first time in my life, I’m almost done Christmas shopping and it’s not even December yet! Yay for me! I have my husband and my son’s shopping all done. All I have to do now is find a few more gifts for my daughter. Shopping for her has become a serious headache. She is now at the age where she is too old for some gifts and too young for others. I will probably have to head in to the electronics department to find anything for her that is suitable. Oh… but I’m almost done!

So yesterday I went Christmas shopping. I mainly just purchased all the kids clothes but I did do some browsing on other items as well. My daughter has asked for an ipod so I was checking out all the different ipods in the store. I didn’t actually buy one, but I did get a good feel for the different types out there as well as the prices. So I think maybe within the next couple of weeks I may end up buying her one. I’ll have to see what my husband thinks on this matter.

When I look out my dining room window right now it certainly is starting to look a lot like Christmas. It has been snowing pretty heavily for the past hour and the roads and my driveway are all covered with the white stuff. It’s actually getting me in the mood for all the Black Friday sales that I know are coming. With the first snowfall I always get in the mood for Christmas. So now that we’ve gotten our first snowfall, I have to get my butt in gear.

What a great day today is. Not only is it mothers day, but it’s my birthday as well! And so far I’ve had a pretty good day. My kids and my husband gave me some presents, bought me my favorite cake (black forest cake), and the kids even did up a slide show on their computer of all our family members. The two kids have even been pretty good and not fighting quite so much. It’s days like today that make me wish my birthday was every day.
