Last night my husband and I went to look at a house that just came on the market for sale. The reason why we went to look at this particular house is because it’s a house in the area where we eventually want to move to. In this area houses don’t come up for sale very often so we wanted to look at it as soon as possible. We liked what we saw and are thinking about putting a bid on it. I would really like to have an online credit report before we go any further. Maybe we will purchase this house, and maybe we won’t. Only time will tell.

Well I wasn’t able to start work on any type of craft this weekend. Actually I wasn’t able to get much of anything done this weekend. The two kids are home on March break this week and they spent their entire weekend fighting. Well this meant that I really couldn’t concentrate on a whole lot of anything. So…. if they keep this behavior up, it really doesn’t look like I’m going to get much of anything accomplished this week. Hopefully they’ll slack back on their fighting and I’ll be able to get some stuff done. Otherwise, I’ll just have to put everything off until next week when I’m home alone (man…. I can’t wait for next week!)

So with all this extra time on my hands, I have decided to re-do over my home office once again. I plan on completely emptying it out and starting from scratch. After I get it all cleaned and all the big pieces of furniture moved back in, I plan on re-organizing my filing cabinet. I’m not really sure what’s in there, but am hoping there’s a lot of office supplies in there. Hopefully I have enough and won’t have to go out and purchase anything. So…. after I get all my regular work done today, I’m going to tackle this big project.

This year our government decided to give us Canadians a little tax bonus. If you bought any home improvement products over the past year, you will be able to claim these expenses on your taxes. Yesterday was the final day to take advantage of this tax credit. So my husband and I went out and did some home improvement buying. Among other things we bought a very nice lighting fixture. So with this purchase as well as the others we made throughout the year, we should see a pretty decent tax break this year. Now all I have to do is find all the receipts so I can get my home improvement tax credit this year.

Yesterday I got a good stab on cleaning out my home office/craft room. Lately it has been used as a free for all dump site and I’m getting tired of not being able to use the room for what it was intended for. So today I plan on finishing cleaning it out, and tomorrow I will get it all set up once again. For the past three months I haven’t been able to do any type of crafts as I’ve had no where to do them. And, I have been doing all my computer work at the kitchen table. But this soon will change. Hopefully over the next couple of days I will get my room back and be able to start working in there once again. Once this happens, you can bet that I will never let anyone in that room again.

I’m really starting to get tired of doing all the housework around here. I’m not the only one who lives here, so why am I the only one who has to do all the work??? I have decided that my two little ones are getting old enough to start doing some chores around here. During their Christmas break I am going to start getting them to do the dishes. And I will also get them to start folding laundry. If I can get help with these two areas, then maybe I won’t mind doing all the other work quite so much. I don’t know how they are going to feel about these changes, but…. they are just going to have to get used to it. I’m just getting really tired of having to do it all myself.

Well I’m slowly getting all my holiday cleaning done. So far I’ve gotten two bedrooms and the living room done. I still have a lot of cleaning ahead of me, but I am making progress. Today I plan on cleaning our bedroom and doing the kitchen. Normally I put off the kitchen because there is so much cleaning to do in there. I have the glass tile, the stove, fridge and the walls to clean. This project will take me most of the day, but it has to get done. I have to get as much done today as I can as I have to work tomorrow and Sunday. So…. off I go.

After having everyone in the house last week sick, it’s now time to get back to my fall cleaning. I really didn’t do a whole lot of housework last week as I spent most of my time taking care of sick people and being sick myself, but this week I’m trying to get back on track. I have started thoroughly cleaning both of the kids rooms. That means that I’ve even shook out their rugs, washed their walls and have gotten a start on de-cluttering their closets. Hopefully I can continue with my cleaning over the next week or so. Then I will have all the major cleaning done before the holidays.

Man, I’ll be glad when we finally put this home up for sale. I swear to god we are putting more money in this place than what we will ever get out of it. But I want it to look nice so that when the time comes to sell, people will be begging us for it. LOL One area that we have been concentrating on is the kitchen. I would love to put copper kitchen sinks in, but I really don’t think that’s in our budget. I think we will just end up refinishing the ones that are already in here and hope for the best. But I’ve got to tell you all, that if we don’t sell this place soon, we are going to end up living here for the rest of our lives as we will lose way to much money when we sell.
