Lifes Like That

Man I hate this park!! Ever since new owners took over it feels like we are living in a prison cell. The kids are constantly being picked on for just playing and being kids and I’m getting pretty fed up. It’s up the point right now that I’d like to invest in some garretts metal detectors to see if I can find enough metal to sell and get out of here. I realize we live in a trailer park, but we are still human beings. The kids aren’t doing any thing wrong and these people need to see that and get over themselves. I’m completely fed up!

The children really aren’t going to be pleased with me this weekend. I just walked past both of their rooms and I’ve got to say that I wasn’t impressed. My daughter’s room is so bad and cluttered that you can even find her peerless mounts in her room right now. And… my son has all his dirty clothes on his floor. So… I’m not going to say a word today after they get home from school but first thing tomorrow morning those two will be sent to their rooms to clean them and won’t be able to come out until their spotless. If I have to keep the entire house clean, the least they can do is keep their bedrooms livable.

Wow it sure seems like when one thing breaks so does everything else. My husband has been busy fixing things around this place and I don’t think this is going to end any time soon. First our hot water tank blew up. Then one of the elements in the oven blew up and now one of the heaters in our hallway blew some bearings. What’s next?? I guess the only good thing is that he is around, otherwise I’d have a lot of broken down things in my house. Hopefully soon things stop breaking and we can once again start to save some money.

I am really starting to get annoyed with all this housework. Honestly folks somedays I feel like I’m walking backwards. I think I get a lot of stuff done then I go to work for a few hours and then I come home and have to re-do all the work I had done previously. I swear to god that these people mess up my house just to see me work. So once again today I get to do a ton of housework. Let me tell you all that I’m really starting to get tired of this!

As I sit here typing at my computer in my kitchen, I’m looking around and man… do I ever need to declutter. I have no clue how all this stuff (can you say junk?) ended up in my house. So… I think between today and tomorrow I’m going to try to find my kitchen once again. I’m sure most of this stuff (junk) really isn’t a necessity in my day to day life. So… hopefully soon I will be able to report I’m clutter free. Then god help the person who brings any more stuff (junk) into my house!

You can sure tell that Christmas is just around the corner. That’s right, that’s the time of year that my husband decides to start renovating. I have no idea why he does this to me, but once again this year he has decided to start ripping my house apart a month before Christmas. He wanted to install home theater seating in our living room, but I think I’ve talked him out of that. Now he plans on painting and putting down new carpet. I really, really hope he gets all this done before Christmas otherwise I’m going to be celebrating the holiday season in a big mess.

So we have finally decided what to do about our home. We have decided to purchase a piece of land out in the country somewhere and move our mobile home on it. I’m excited about this. This way we won’t have to get a mortgage as we already do own our home and can put our money to good use in other areas. I would love to purchase some log furniture and now might have the money to do just that. Now… all we need to do is find a piece of land and get moving.

Well now that it’s officially fall and we can’t get outside to do much of anything my husband and I have decided to do our renovations in the home once again. Last week we looked at some Kohler kitchen sinks and we picked up one. So this weekend we are going to replace the sink in the kitchen. We have a little bit of renovation work left to do in the kitchen and once this is done we will continue with the work on the extension we put on this summer. So I guess it’s good that it’s fall. At least this way some of the work inside is getting done.

I have been seriously busy cleaning my home over the past few days. I have gotten most of the rooms cleaned the way I want them and only have a couple of rooms left. One of the rooms that I have put off until almost the end is our bedroom. So today that is the room that I’m going to have to tackle. The reason I have put this room off so long is because it’s so full of clothes that I don’t wear anymore (like some lingerie) and haven’t exactly gotten rid of them yet. So this is what is on my to do list today. Clean the bedroom and get rid of all the old clothes.

Today is the day for our annual spring clean up in our park. So over the weekend we have all been finding old junk and garbage around our house to get rid of. Well today they started taking away our stuff. So now that I have some extra room in my house I think I’m going to restart my own spring clean up. I have made a list and plan on doing a little bit every day. I’m hoping that I can get it all done before the kids are out of school. Wish me luck!
