Lifes Like That

Just this morning I read on one of the forums that I frequent that the Google page rank is updating again. This wasn’t suppose to take place until the end of October so I’m wondering if it has really started or if some people’s ranks are just fluctuating right now? Have you seen any movement in your sites yet?

Currently I have a few blogs on the go and I have checked out each and everyone of them and haven’t seen a change in any of them. I’m really hoping that some of my sites go up this update, but it won’t be the end of the world if they don’t. So anybody here seen any changes yet or know if Google is indeed updating the page ranks at this moment?

I really do love blogging. Almost two years ago I set up my first blog and I have never looked back. One of my most favorite parts about blogging is receiving comments. I love to hear what people think about my site and what they think about things that I write. But one of the things that I really hate about blogging is some of the nasty comments that I receive from other bloggers. It hasn’t happened in a while on any of my sites, but just the other day I was browsing some blogs and seen a seriously nasty comment on someone else’s blog.

They were discussing Google page rank and the fact that theirs got dropped from a three to a zero. They seemed to be quite upset about this and one commenter slammed them big time over it. First they stated that they shouldn’t care about page rank and then slammed them for doing paid reviews. Honestly who’s business is it if someone does paid reviews on their blogs?? I do paid reviews on some blogs and since their my blogs, it’s my own choice. And yes, I have lost page rank because of it. But it doesn’t bother me any more. If it bothers others then that’s their prerogative.

I don’t understand why people can’t be nice. Just because were on the Internet and you can’t see us doesn’t mean the nastiness should come out. At least that’s my point of view.

Well today is September 1st so all you Entrecard droppers knows what this means right?? That’s correct! It’s time to announce my 10 droppers for the past month. Well another month has come and gone and you all know what that means. Yup, it’s time for my monthly post to thank all you Entrecard droppers for dropping by and for your visits. It’s been quite a while since I last posted about Project Wonderful.  So I thought I would give you an update.  Last week I hit the $10.00 payout again.  So I requested payout and within the day I was paid and it was in my paypal account.  So this was the second payment I have received from them for $10.00.  I know $10.00 doesn’t sound like much, but…after you place the code you then can forget about it.  You don’t have to do anything extra.  So it’s really passive income.  Plus every $10.00 I receive from them pays for one year of hosting for one of my sites.

So…I guess what I’m trying to say is that I am quite happy with the program and will continue on with it.

Finally after months of whining, I took my computer into the shop over the weekend. I have finally decided to take the plunge and have my computer get a total memory upgrade. It will cost me a little bit of money to have all this done, but I honestly think that in the long run it will be well worth it. The only thing I’m not pleased about is that they plan to have my computer in their shop for most of the week. Having been without it now for a couple of days, I’m kind of going through “my” computer withdrawals. I can use my husband’s, but it’s not the same. But to have a better running computer, I just have to suck it up and make do. Then when I get the unit back, I will be so happy with the improvements that I will have forgotten all about my computer withdrawals.

I just added the top commenters plug in and I have to say that it’s way…cool.  I’ve been looking for something like this for well over a year now and now that I’ve found it and have it installed I’m so happy with it.  This way I can reward all you top commenters on this site.  So if you’d like a link back to your site from this site, now all you have to do is comment.  I hope you will comment because you like what your reading as well. lol

Back in February my husband bought me this laptop. My old one was running really slow and constantly jamming up all the time. My frustration level was over the top when I was trying to work on the Internet or work on all my blogs. So because he felt sorry for me, he decided to surprise me with a brand new laptop. For the past three months I have been seriously happy with it, but I have noticed over the past couple of weeks that it is running a lot slower than it originally did. I have tried cleaning it out to see if that was the problem, but that didn’t seem to help.

So I am wondering if I may need to do a computer memory upgrade on this thing. I really hope not, but if that’s what it takes to speed my machine up, then that’s something I’m definitely going to have to look into. I refuse to go back to the way things were on my old computer.
