Final days of school

Final days of school

Well we are down to the wire. The kids are on their final days of school. They both did extremely well this year and although I do not have their report cards this year, I know they both have passed their grades. So it looks like I’ll have to invest in some grading presents again this year. I absolutely don’t mind this as this means that since I have to buy gifts, the kids did well. At least I don’t have to worry about shopping at the Happy Easter store this time of year. They have both asked for video games so since they both did so well they will get their wishes. I am one proud momma!

Time marches on

I can’t believe that there is only five weeks of school left for the children! Where does the time go?? In five weeks my youngest son will actually be leaving elementary school. That means he’s becoming a big boy! He’s quite excited about going up to middle school next year, but has admitted that he is going to miss the elementary school playground. But he’s getting older and time certainly is marching on. So in about five weeks I will be attending his graduation and then after the summer is over my little man will be headed to a bigger school.

I heard from my son

As you seen in my previous post, I hadn’t heard from my oldest son in a very long time and was starting to get very concerned. Well, I’m happy to report that I finally heard from him! After 10 long months he decided that he would finally e-mail me. He gave me all kinds of excuses for his lack of communication, but just hearing from him at this point was good enough for me. So now I guess I’ll have to contact the police once again so they can stop looking for a child who isn’t lost. He had better NEVER pull this crap on me again!

Now I’m getting concerned

As most of you are aware of, I actually have three children. I have two that live at home and one that is almost 22 and lives quite far away. Well, this is why I’m getting concerned. I have not heard from my oldest son for months! I have e-mailed him constantly haven’t heard a peep from him. This is why I am so concerned. I have been talking to the police in his area (I think his area) but they are really unable to help me as I really can’t give them any specific info. So I sit and wait. Man… I wish he would just e-mail me.

Not a good start to March break

Well the weather outside it pretty crappy so the kids can’t go outside which means they are stuck in the house all day and that means lots of loud noises and lots of fighting. Pretty crappy way to start the March break I would say. But at least it’s not snowing out. It’s actually raining so it is getting rid of a lot of the ice and snow that has built up over the winter. I really do hope that the weather gets a bit better over the next few days or it’s going to be a very long March break for me and the kids. I just hope I can survive it!

Yay (sort of) it’s Friday

Now normally I get pretty excited when Friday finally arrives. Well I’m not quite as excited on this particular Friday. And the reason why I’m not really excited?? Because this is also the day that marks the day that the kids start their March break. That’s right folks, I’m going to have these two kids home for the next nine days. That’s why I’m not really jumping up and down that the weekend is finally here. It’s going to be a long week and I really am not looking forward to it. The kids are, so I guess that’s a good thing. I guess I’ll just have to wait it out and prepare myself for all the fighting that I know is going to take place. But maybe they’ll surprise me and have a great March break. I can always hope now can’t I??

We’re in trouble

We’re in trouble because my 12 year old daughter is growing up and now has a boyfriend! This does not impress me one little bit. Where did the time go? I just seems like yesterday I was changing this kid’s diapers and now she’s coming home and telling me she has a boyfriend. What’s next?? Is she going to start asking me for the best acne treatment to purchase her? Man… I don’t like this growing up thing at all. I guess the only good thing I can say about all this is that I do know the boy in question and do know his parents and he is a good kid. I just wish she would have put off this little adventure in her life a little later in life, like when she’s 30!

They need to clean their rooms!

The children really aren’t going to be pleased with me this weekend. I just walked past both of their rooms and I’ve got to say that I wasn’t impressed. My daughter’s room is so bad and cluttered that you can even find her peerless mounts in her room right now. And… my son has all his dirty clothes on his floor. So… I’m not going to say a word today after they get home from school but first thing tomorrow morning those two will be sent to their rooms to clean them and won’t be able to come out until their spotless. If I have to keep the entire house clean, the least they can do is keep their bedrooms livable.

He went back to school!

So as you seen in my previous post, I have had a sick child home from school for the past few days. He went to school on Tuesday but I got a phone call to go and pick him up. And due to this sickness, I ended up keeping him home for the next couple of days. I did send him this morning and I am keeping my fingers crossed that he stays in school all day today.

Having him home these past few days has really put me behind in my work. I wasn’t able to get much blogging done or even work on any of the projects that I had started for my home crafting business. All I could really do was browse the Internet for plus size corsets and other clothing patterns that I think I might like to try to make.

But… he’s in school for now, so I guess it’s time I get to work. So… have a great weekend and I’ll talk to you all soon.

Sick kid home

Well here we go again. On Tuesday my son’s teacher sent him home early from school as he was coughing in class quite a bit. Well today is Thursday and this kid is still home from school. He’s not really sick. He just has a majorly bad cough and isn’t getting much sleep these days. Plus he has quite a high fever so this is why I can’t send him to school. And because he’s home, I can’t seem to get much done this days.

Oh well, this illness will pass and soon I will be able to back to my normal routine. I hope it happens soon, as I really do need to spend some time on the computer looking up document management software for a company I work for. But as long as he’s home I can’t concentrate. I really hope I don’t get his sickness otherwise I could be in some serious trouble.
